BATH CARE

Balneotherapy
Balneotherapy is the use of baths as a
therapy to treat certain parts or the whole of
the body. There are different types of
Balneotherapy: solid baths (mud, sand),
bubbling baths (ozone) and liquid baths
(thermal water and seawater) which are
more well known.
The popularity of liquid baths in the last ten
years or so has led to the creation of health
and sports centres, SPAs and beauty salons,
all of which propose hydro-massage baths or
“balneo-aesthetic treatments”. In France, the
term balneotherapy is strictly reserved for
the medical or paramedical field.
Efficient hydro-massage baths require the

Efficient hydro-massage baths require
the following:
1 Equipment
2 Hygiene
3 Products
4 Temperature
5 A professional treatment procedure
1 Equipment
Ergonomical, strong and comfortable with the possibility of
different types of massage.
- Baths with bubbles
Millions of air bubbles diffused by micro-injectors which
provide a relaxing and floating effect.
- Hydro-Massages
Hydro-massages work sequentially in different ways on
different parts of the body. They reduce nervous tension and
have a draining effect which improves the venous circulation
and reduce oedemas.
- Air and water baths
The injectors, under pressure, diffuse both air and water. The
massage that they create has a greater impact and is more
gentle and comfortable.
- Ozone baths (O3)
These are bubble baths that are enriched in ozone. Once
ozone comes in contact with water, nascent oxygen is created
which is absorbed by the respiratory system and the skin and
thus helps combat fatigue and insomnia, eliminate body
waste and purify the skin.
- Under-water jet
This powerful jet is used manually under water to massage the
whole of the body, following a precise procedure. Highly
effective, the jet relaxes muscles and relieves aching joints. It
is an excellent anti-cellulite treatment as the power of the jet
is able to break down and filter fat and cellulite.
- Certain more recent baths rare equipped with
chromotherapy: which combines the energizing effects of
hydro-massage with an energy balancing action through the
use of color.

the client's requirement:

3 Products
(Depending upon the type of
cellulite)
Marine salts, algae, essential oils
etc. must be perfectly soluble in
water, provide targeted actions and
be suitable for use in personalized
programs.
The products must be easily
evacuated when the bath is emptied
and they must not obstruct the pipes
and water and air injectors.
The maximum temperature must
never exceed 38°.
Anything less than 15 minutes is
insufficient for efficient mineral
absorption.

Treatment Procedure
can be summed up in 3 words
HEALTH - WELL-BEING - HYGIENE
1. Health
Indications and contraindications
for hydro-massage baths or
balneo-aesthetic:
It is imperative you ensure that your

products used in water.
For warm baths, the temperature
should be increased gradually to
avoid “thermal shock”.
2. Well-being
INDICATIONS
- Regain form (fatigue, stress)
- Muscle relaxation and joint relief
- Circulation stimulation
- Weight loss aid

3. Hygiene
After each bath, activate the
automatic hydro-massage circuit
disinfection system and carefully
clean the bath with a suitable
product.
