first ch with slip st.
Round 2: Ch 1, 1 sc in each ch around;
join to first sc with slip st.

st; repeat from * around; join to first dc
with slip st.

Pom Poms (make 2)
Wrap yarn 90 times around 4" (10 cm)
cardboard. Tie a 24” (61 cm) length of
yarn around the wrapped yarn tightly.
Slide yarn off cardboard.
Cut loop edges of yarn and shape with
scissors until round without cutting the
24” (61 cm) length of yarn.
With the 24” (61 cm) length of yarn and
your yarn needle, attach the pom poms
to the top corners of the hat. Weave tail
through both the pom pom and the hat
10 times.
Weave in all loose ends.
