Schedule 2 – Specifications

Unless otherwise stated, only those Services listed in this Schedule 2 will be the
Services available to be ordered by the Customer and provided by JT under this
Agreement.
Wholesale Line Rental Service Description
2.1.
Fibre Provided Service
JT will provide a duplex voice communication service delivered over a fibre
access line and terminate in the Customer’s or End User’s premise as
appropriate on an ONT provided by JT. CLI will be provided as standard. The
End User’s existing internal (copper) wiring is connected into the ONT and the
End User’s telephone/s will operate from their current telephony sockets.
Wholesale calls also form part of the Service.
2.2.
Copper Provided Service
JT will provide a duplex voice communication service delivered over a copper
access line and terminate in the End User’s premise on a NTP (also referred to
as the “DP”) provided by JT. CLI will be provided as standard. The End User’s
existing internal wiring is connected into the Master Socket and DP and the End
User’s telephone/s will operate from their current telephony sockets. Wholesale
calls also form part of the service.
2.3.
Product Features - Fibre
2.3.1. A WLR service provided over fibre optic cable will terminate in the End
User’s premise at the ONT and will be JT’s demarcation point. The ONT
will be mains powered, (240V 50Hz), and in the event of a power outage,
the End User will be without either Internet Access or telephony service.
The ONT will incorporate the ATA to connect to the End User’s internal
wiring.
2.3.2. Line Features and Descriptions
“Call Diversion Immediately” – transfers all
incoming calls to another telephone number
immediately when the End User’s telephone
number is dialled;
“Call Diversion on Busy” – transfers all
incoming calls to another telephone number if
the line is busy;
“Call Diversion on No Reply” – transfers all
incoming calls to another telephone number if
no-one answers within 15 seconds;
“Call Diversion on Busy and No Reply” –
transfers all incoming calls to another telephone
number if the line is busy or no-one answers
within 15 seconds;
“Incoming Call Barring - End User
Controlled” - Incoming call barring acts as a
‘do not disturb service’. When the End User
puts it into operation, callers are advised that
you are ‘not accepting calls at present’

“Outgoing Call Barring – End User
Controlled” - allows the End User to control the
types of calls made from their telephone. The
End User can bar unauthorised use of their
telephone line altogether or allow a restricted
service e.g. local calls only. Whatever degree of
barring set, access to 112/999 is always
allowed;
“Calling Identity Withheld on a per call basis
'141'” – This allows the End User to stop their
number being seen by the person they are
calling on a per call basis;
“Calling Number Identity Release on a per
call basis ‘1470’” - This allows an End User
designated as Ex Directory to release their
number to the person they are calling on a per
call basis;
“Caller Return ‘1471’ Service” - Automatically
return the last call made to your telephone line;
“Reminder Call” - By entering a code, the End
User can programme their telephone to ring
back at a specific time to remind them of an
important appointment;
“Feature Check” – allows the End Users to
check the features activated on the telephone
line;
“Ring Back When Free” - Alerts the End User
when an engaged number becomes free;
“Ring Back When Free ‘Inhibit” – This stops
the ring back when free function; and
“Change of Number” – allows the End User to
change the number allocated to their telephone
line.
2.3.3. Fibre Feature Set – Non chargeable and customer controlled

2.4.

in the case of an individual dwelling unit, or at the NTP in the case of a multi
dwelling unit.

Directory Listing
A single line white page directory listing will be included for each WLR service.
For the avoidance of doubt any additional white page requirements, yellow page
listing or yellow page advertisements will be charged by JT directly to the End
User.
2.6.
Demarcation Point - Fibre
The demarcation point of JT’s network is the ONT and the accompanying
dedicated power supply; everything else that connects into the ONT is the End
User’s responsibility.

2.7.
