Jack: Broadcasting from Studio B201, this is the Seaholm Daily Bulletin
for Monday, December 15th, 2014 with Joe Ashcraft and Sam Coury.
Joe:
Thanks Jack and good morning Seaholm!
Joe: Seaholm HS art and graphic novels’ students participated in a
literary art contest at the Seaholm/Barnes and Noble Book Fair on
December 2 to raise literacy awareness. The following students received
awards: First Place went to Lexi LaBruzzy for her graphic novel titled,
Devil ,Second Place went to Summer Benton for her water color titled,
Meyer Wolfsheim’s Cufflinks, Awards of Excellence were given to Victoria
Bernstein’s acrylic titled, The Sandman by Neil Gaiman, A Book Cover,
Chris Kostopoulos’ graphic novel titled, Alignment of Heroes, and Devon
Yousif’s graphic novel titled, Donnie Darko, An Adaptation.
Congratulations and thanks to all of Seaholm’s students who participated
in the contest or who helped with the book fair!!! Special thanks goes
to Liz Moyer in the art department and Mitch Nobis in the English
department for encouraging their students to display their work. Happy

Joe: The World Language Department would like to congratulate the
following recipients of Student of the Month Awards: Pia Campbell, Allie
Hirst, Michelle Feng, Misha AH-sim, Joshua Chapnick, Maclane Paddock,
Kate Bridges, and Claire Schuchard.
Joe: SENIORS!!!!! The very important Senior Assembly is on January 6th,
2015 during 2nd Hour. During this assembly, you will learn about:
ordering Caps and Gowns, Senior Breakfast and Dinner, Senior Mock
Election, Senior Attendance Waiver and Other Important senior
information!!! Mr. Hamka is looking forward to seeing all of you there!!
Joe: Seaholm Links will be having a holiday pizza party next Tuesday,
December 16th, during B lunch. Please sign up in Ms. Rogers room - A207 if you plan on attending. Everyone is welcome!
Joe: Lighthouse Charity needs toiletries to help those in need during
this holiday season. Please bring toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner,
paper towels, soap, toothpaste, ect. to the main office drop-off box.
Joe: Want to save a life for the holidays? If you are 16 and older you
can help save lives by donating blood for the American Red Cross on
Wednesday, December 17th from 8-2 in the cafeteria. You will also earn
community service hours by donating. Most of the blood donated by our
students goes directly to help young children suffering from serious
illnesses in local hospitals. Stop by the Community Service Office today
to sign up for a blood donation time.
Joe: The Hour of Code is approaching its goal of 100 million students
coding – they are at 70 million so far. Seaholm High School is part of
this global initiative to interest students in Computer Science and to
reach this year's goal of 100 million students. Seaholm is sponsoring

You can sign up with any teacher.

Sam: In today's weather – it's currently a foggy 46 degrees, with a
southwest wind at 4 miles per hour. You can expect a mostly cloudy day,
with an unusual December high of 51 and a low of 42 tonight.
Enjoy
these warmer temperatures because after the rain tomorrow, a cold front
moves in and we're back to winter in Michigan!
