THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (BRADFORD ON AVON) (PROHIBITION AND
RESTRICTION OF WAITING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET
PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order
under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to
revoke The County of Wiltshire (Bradford on Avon) (Prohibition and Restriction of
Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2010, with
amendments 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6, and re-enact it in the above Order and to include
additional restrictions as follows:
a) To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of roads:
Ashley Road – north side – from a point 57 metres west of its junction with Bath Road
for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction
Berryfield Road – both sides – from its junction with Sladesbrook for a distance of 38
metres in a north westerly direction
Fitzmaurice Close – both sides – from its junction with Moulton Drive for a distance of
10 metres in a northerly direction
Highfield Road – both sides – from its junction with New Road for a distance of 10
metres in a south westerly direction
Highfield Road – south east side – from a point 58 metres south west of its junction with
New Road for a distance of 16 metres in a south easterly direction
Highfield Road – north west side – from a point 58 metres south west of its junction with
New Road for a distance of 14 metres in a south westerly direction
Huntingdon Street – east side – from a point 25 metres south of its junction with
Church Acre for a distance of 5 metres
Huntingdon Street – east side – from a point 48 metres south of its junction with
Church Acre for a distance of 7 metres
Huntingdon Street – west side – from a point 15 metres south of its junction with
Church Acre for a distance of 14 metres
Huntingdon Street – west side – from a point 48 metres south of its junction with
Church Acre for a distance of 4 metres
John Rennie Close – both sides – from its junction with Moulton Drive for a distance of
20 metres in a south easterly direction
John Rennie Close – south side – from a point 86 metres east of the junction with
Moulton Drive for a distance of 39 metres in an easterly direction
John Rennie Close – north side – from a point 86 metres east of its junction with
Moulton Drive for a distance of 42 metres in an easterly direction
Kingsfield - north side – from a point 56 metres north west of its junction with Woolley
Street for a distance of 22 metres
Kingsfield (northern leg) - both sides – from a point 30 metres north of its junction with
Kingsfield for a distance of 7 metres to protect turning head
Kingsfield (western leg) – south side – from a point 175 metres west of its junction with
Woolley Street for a distance of 14 metres in a north westerly direction
Kingsfield (western leg) - both sides – from a point 203 metres west of its junction with
Woolley Street for a distance of 7 metres in a north westerly direction
Kingsfield (western leg) – south side – from a point 72 metres west of its junction with
Woolley Street for a distance of 27 metres in a north westerly direction
Moulton Drive – south side – from a point 110 metres west of its junction with Southway
Road (eastern leg) for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction
Moulton Drive – south side – from a point 15 metres west of its junction with Southway
Road (eastern leg) to a point 15 metres east of that junction
Moulton Drive – south side – from a point 38 metres east of its junction with John
Rennie Close to a point 65 metres west of that junction
Moulton Drive – north side – from a point 30 metres east of its junction with Fitzmaurice
Close to a point 15 metres west of its junction with Southway Road (eastern leg)
New Road – south side – from a point 10 metres north west of its junction with Highfield
Road to a point 10 metres south east of that junction
Southway Road (eastern leg) - both sides – from its junction with Moulton Drive for a
distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction
Sladesbrook Close - both sides – from its junction with Berryfield Road for a distance of
35 metres in a north easterly direction
Sladesbrook Close – both sides – from a point 80 metres north of its junction with
Berryfield Road for a distance of 10 metres to protect turning head
St Laurence Road – east side – from its junction with Downavon for a distance of 6
metres in a north easterly direction
St Laurence (Square) – north side – from a point 4 metres south east of its junction with
Downavon for a distance of 5 metres in a south easterly direction
Wine Street – east side – from a point 37 metres north west of its junction with Newtown
for a distance of 51 metres in a north westerly direction
Wine Street – east side – from a point 115 metres north west of its junction with
Newtown for a distance of 18 metres in a northerly direction
Wine Street – west side – from a point 47 metres north west of its junction with
Newtown for a distance of 24 metres
Wine Street – west side – from a point 113 metres north west of its junction with
Newtown for a distance of 15 metres in a northerly direction
Winsley Road – east side – from its junction with Wine Street for a distance of 14
metres in a northerly direction
b) To extend No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of roads:
Bath Road – west side – from a point 15 metres north of its junction with Ashley Road
for a distance of 10 metres
Kennet Gardens (southern spur) – east side – from a point 5 metres south of its
junction with Kennet Gardens for its entire remaining length
Kennet Gardens (southern spur) – west side – from a point 5 metres south of its
junction with Kennet Gardens for a distance of 17 metres in a southerly direction
Kingsfield - south side – from a point 10 metres north west of its junction with Woolley
Street for a distance of 59 metres
Moulton Dirve – south west side – from a point 20 metres north west of its junction with
Southway Road (western leg) to a point 20 metres south east of that junction
Rowden Lane – east side – from a point 25 metres south of its junction with Moulton
Drive for a distance of 6 metres
Rowden Lane – east side – from a point 42 metres south of its junction with Moulton
Drive for a distance of 6 metres
c) To introduce No Waiting Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm on the following length of
road:
Ashley Road – north side – from a point 5 metres north west of its junction with Ashley
Road (School Access Road) to a point 30 metres south east of that junction
d) To revoke No Waiting at any time on the following length of road:
Kennet Gardens – south side – from a point 52 metres east of its junction with Frome
Road for a distance of 10 metres
Deposit copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for
proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council,
County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the
proposed scheme may be seen at Bradford on Avon Library, Bridge Street, Bradford on
Avon during the hours of 10am to 7pm Monday, 9.30am to 5pm Wednesday and Friday,
9.30am to 7pm Thursday and 9.30am to 4pm Saturday until 22nd May 2017. Documents

Comments on the proposal together with the reasons for which they are made should be
