Dell recommends the following: EMR Slim Desktop Dell Vostro 230 - Desktops are needed for office staff at each physician practice. They must meet the minimum technical specifications of the standard configuration and also include Windows XP Professional or Windows 7, Microsoft Office Basic and Norton Anti-Virus. Generally these are used for the front desk reception area and for back office billing. EMR All-In-One Desktop Dell Vostro 320 - The All-In-One units are fully functional systems attached to a 19-inch monitor, which are effective space-savers for front desk reception or back office employees. They must meet the minimum technical specifications of the standard configuration and also include Windows XP Professional or Windows 7, Microsoft Office Basic and Norton AntiVirus. EMR Notebook Dell Vostro 13 - Notebook configurations are provided for the physician to take advantage of mobile device technology. They must meet the minimum technical specifications of the standard configuration and also include Windows XP Professional or Windows 7, Microsoft Office Basic and Norton Anti-Virus. If one is choosing a mobile device and plans to connect wirelessly, a wireless router and possible access points are needed to ensure connectivity. EMR Tablet Dell Latitude XT2 Tablet - Tablet configurations are provided for the physician to have a mobile device. It is possible that a physician may choose a desktop but generally this is not the case. Tablets must meet the minimum technical specifications of the standard configuration and also include Windows XP Professional or Windows 7, Microsoft Office Basic and Norton Anti-Virus. If one is choosing a mobile device and plans to connect wirelessly, a wireless router and possible access points are needed to ensure connectivity. Printer Dell Laser Printer 2330DN - Each physician practice is required to have at least one printer. The Dell Laser Printer selected includes two paper trays. Scanner Panasonic KV-1025SC Duplex Scanner - Scanners are required for importing paper records and for capturing pertinent data, such as health insurance cards and identification. Wireless Router D-Link AirPremier Wireless-N Router for Wireless Access - Access Points provide protected wireless coverage throughout the doctor's office. Patch Cable CAT5E RJ45M 10 foot patch cable - Each system connecting to the network will need a patch cable. Generally at least one cable is required per desktop, server and router. Cable Management Strap 11-inch Hook and Loop Cable Management Straps -12 Pack - Cable Management Straps ensure a clean and safe work environment by bundling patch cables and power cords into streamlined component bundles. Notebook Security or Desktop Security Cable Kensington Microsaver Security cable - A cable lock is recommended to help prevent theft.
