El proyecto spanish is a spanish teaching project which aims to enlighten indian students about Spanish and Latin american language and culture. We believe that language and culture can be best explained by a person who belongs to that culture. Hence, we require a latin american or spanish teacher to educate our students , and are in search for the same. El Proyecto Spanish works in collaboration with Mr. Jonatan Arcos who is the director of the Bilingual Project in Cucuta, Norte de Santander, Colombia. Mr. Arcos will help us with the selection process of the spanish teacher. Requirements:
We do not insist on professional teachers. We are looking for students and other young people who teach spanish in exchange for a wonderful cultural experience. ● Age 18 and above. ● Basic English conversation skills. ● In ­ depth knowledge of Spanish vocabulary and grammar. ● Open minded towards new experiences. Job Profile.
Candidates are expected to work for approximately 30 hours a week. They will have to teach students at reputed schools and colleges in Mumbai, who will be divided into batches. Students from grade 5th onwards will be a part of this program. The teacher will have to start with the very basics of spanish, and build up from there. The teacher should have to be well aware of the political history and culture of their country. Remuneration.
Food and accommodation will be covered by the programme. Any additional remuneration will depend on the duration for which the teacher is willing to stay in India. Visa and Airfare
El Proyecto Spanish will provide the necessary documents required for visa applications. But the procedure has to be completed and the costs have to be borne by the teacher. The teacher is responsible for their own airfare to fly to India but for teachers staying for a long duration the project will contribute a portion of the airfare. This will be decided after a discussion between the project authorities and the prospective teachers. Life in Mumbai
Mumbai is one of the most ‘happening’ cities in the world. Teachers will participate in the cultural events and activities that happen in Mumbai all around the year. There are a number of heritage sites, theater and literature festivals that happen around the year. El Proyecto Spanish will take the teachers to the different tourist destinations and hill stations in the vicinity of Mumbai. This program will give teachers an excellent opportunity to explore the colouful and vibrant life in Mumbai. Cultural Exchange
The aim of this project is to not only teach our students Spanish language but to introduce them to the culture of various spanish speaking countries. We want to create a cultural exchange wherein the students benefit from the knowledge of the culture of the teacher and the teacher too will learn about Indian culture. The teacher will be expected to talk about the art forms, cuisine, lifestyle, festivals of their country. They can carry items such as clothing typical of their culture, currency, flags, etc. The teacher should narrate simple short stories by authors of the country they belong to. For students of higher classes, the teacher should also talk about the political history and current political scenario, and various social issues in their country. They will also be expected to utilise multimedia resources to show presentations and short films. Contact us:
