Dan & Antoinette Young
A brief introduction ~ my husband
Dan and I are the owners of Young’s
Insurance Services, Inc. through whom
you purchased a health insurance product either from us or one of our helpful
agents. We would like to take a moment
to introduce this newsletter and welcome
all the new families to this complimentary
mailing we send out quarterly. Our
Brokerage Agency has been providing
health and life insurance options as well
as Medicare prescription plans and a
variety of other products for fifteen years.
Thank you for your confidence in our
company, our agents and the products we
offer. We hope you enjoy this and all future
newsletters that we send out to keep in
touch with everyone. ~
************************************************
Hello all! Hope this newsletter finds you
well. The last few months, despite the mild
weather, felt long to us. Everyone seemed
to repeatedly get sick. I must say, we are
looking forward to spring weather and the
longer sunny days now!
Business around the office has been
steady during these “calmer” months. The
focus has been on updating our systems to
keep current with customer service quality
and maintain secure records.
Other than that, I have had some challenges medically to handle the past few
months—when it rains, it pours. Both my
eyes have Glaucoma with some optic
nerve damage (which required surgery),
plus Macular Degeneration. I will also be
needing abdominal surgery in the near
future which will keep me out of the office a
few weeks. Hopefully, I will get back on
track soon. If only I had listened to everyone's advice when they said “don’t get old"!

normally available. However, if your body
doesn’t have glucose available, it can use
MTC’s (ketones) as an alternative fuel.
Now you can produce these ketones naturally, but they usually only appear in your
body when you are on a “low carb diet” or
experiencing starvation—in comes Coconut
Oil! Along with eating a nutritious diet high
in omega-3 fatty acids, this ketone packed
coconut oil has been said to possibly help
everything from Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s chorea, multiple sclerosis, ALS, type I and II diabetes,
as well as a number of other conditions that
involve a defect in the transport of glucose
into neurons and other cells. It is important
to use coconut oil that is non-hydrogenated
and contains no trans fat. It can be found in
many health food stores, Asian food stores
and we’ve been told also at Walmart,
Walgreen’s and Target. Effective doses
seem to vary but it’s suggested that you
could start small, just incorporating 2-4
teaspoons a day to see some benefits. We
read some people take 4-7 teaspoons
twice a day or even just make it a part of
their regular diet by using it instead of vegetable oil to cook or bake with. You can
even use it instead of milk to make mashed
potatoes, oatmeal, eggs and French toast.
Of course, you should always check with
your doctor before changing or adding supWhat’s New

still with the original finish. The floor was
dull, lifeless, and very marked up. We
considered getting them redone professionally, but a friend told me to give this
product a try first. Glad I did! After cleaning the floor and applying just the first
coat (which dries in minutes) there was a
“wet” glass look that magically appeared.
Now, fully expecting it to be absorbed, I
reapplied a second coat. WOW, compliments galore! It looks like a brand new
floor. The finish stays glossy, hides flaws,
and doesn’t leave a sticky, waxy feeling.
There is no foggy build up either. A few
things that I must mention; first, make
sure the floor is clean of fuzz, pet hair and
dust before applying so nothing gets
“stuck” under the coating. The second is
to be careful using liquid cleaners on it
afterward, it will undo all your hard work. I
just Swiffer then damp cloth any dirt
marks and reapply when necessary now.
You can find this just about any place that
sells floor cleaners including Walmart for
less than $6 a bottle. One bottle covered
my both my medium size living and dining
rooms.

Germ-X Advanced Protection
No Mess Hand Sanitizer
This wonderful product has become a
normal sight around our house. This
alcohol free formula doesn’t burn, sting or
drip. The clever foam pump is perfect for
dispensing and really extends the life of a
bottle too. It’s never harsh on your skin
and just has a very light fresh scent. We
find this hand sanitizer is so convenient
for our 3 year old who touches everything
while he’s out and about. It keeps his
hands safe from harmful bacteria before
grabbing his snacks or eating at restaurants. It was also PERFECT when he
used to get diaper rashes because it
thoroughly cleaned the area after wiping
and before putting on any medicine with
no irritation. I never liked the idea of
smearing on a cream or ointment trapping
harmful bacteria which the wipes didn’t
remove, but of course, giving him a bath
wasn’t always an option. This sanitizer
was a perfect solution! Also, since it isn’t
flammable, it’s so handy to use when we
prepare meats or fishes in the kitchen to
keep our hands clean between washes. I
even use it as a facial toner. It cleans,
heals and softens all at once. All around,
this is a great household addition!

Toddler / Baby Updates!
Jake Ryan Young Update
(Antoinette & Dan’s son)
Jake is doing so well and will be turn 3 on
May 5th! He is growing fast and has become so interactive with everyone around
him! He weighs 32 lbs, and looks more
like a little man now. His once baby features have faded and become more chiseled. Potty training is moving along nicely
and we hope to be moving out of Pull-ups
soon. He is still active as can be, but we
are able to rationalize and reason with him
so much more now than just a few months
ago. He listens, asks questions, repeats
the answers and seems to really grasp
things. Jake can recap his day for us recalling every detail with such wild facial
expressions that you just can’t help but to
laugh. He plays on the computer and our
cell phones and probably knows more
than me already! He’s also the “helper”
around the house fixing things with Daddy, assisting Mommy with the wash, feeding the dogs and carrying in groceries.
Jake loves to imitate both his older brothers! He copies their movements, comments, sitting positions and even has to
wear hats, or sports t-shirts if they are! We
take him to a little play center in our area
called Bouncetown every Friday night and
he can cut loose, jump, play and meet
other kids. He waits all week for the
“Mommy, Daddy, Jakey night” as he calls
it. He is a frequent visitor at our local zoo
and is so excited by all the animals each
time he goes! It is such a pleasure watching our little guy experience life.
Jake really brings us so much joy. We can
just imagine what the summer months hold
as he grows, plays and learns!

Do you suffer from an EGG ALLERGY?
Check this out! It’s called “Egg Replacer”
by Ener-G. While it is available online, we
found it at Costco. This egg substitute
contains NO EGGS or animal protein! It is
gluten and wheat free, no preservatives,
artificial flavoring or cholesterol and has
no sugar added. You simply add this white
powder with water and mix into any recipe
that requires eggs. I use this for Jake’s
recipes and there is NO difference in taste
or consistency. TRY IT!!!
Agents Corner
From Rob Darnell
Hello Everyone, spring is in the air! Base-
ball is around the corner and so are the
Phillies. I am certainly excited about that!
I am well and have been keeping busy.
My wife Joan however, has had to get
“ankle fusion” surgery. She has been
suffering with severe arthritis and the
doctor even thinks she may have broken
her ankle at one point and never realized
it. She is confined to bed for a few
months so I will be trying to make her
stay at home as comfortable as possible.
I will still be running appointments and be
available to my clients but will work more
from home. Other than that, I hope all of
you have a great spring and summer!

From Jim Long
I want to let everyone know that I will be
out of the country from April 28th to May
5th. My wife and I will be visiting Peru!
While we are very excited to explore and
learn more about a very unique country,
we are also very anxious about leaving
our daughter Gabby for a week. I am sure
Gabby will handle the separation better
than us since she will be having a blast
with her Aunt and Uncle and her cousins.
Sandy and Stefanie from my office will be
handing all customer service issues that
must be attended to while I am away.
Gabby is now 15 months old and the rate
at which she is learning, growing, and
maturing is just staggering to us. Every
night, my wife and I recap “what we
learned today”. The conversation usually
starts with, “We learned that Gabby can
now climb, do, sign, or say…..”. The
climbing part gives us heart palpitations,
but we are managing to keep it together.
Gabrielle goes into overdrive when we
are in a store and she would love to walk
everywhere and tear just about every
thing off the shelves. So for the sake of
the employees, we try not to shop anywhere that doesn’t have shopping carts
or we bring a stroller!

From Dan Young
Hello all! I want to let you know a few
things. I am adding more companies and
products to our portfolio here at Young’s,
so please keep us in mind for all future
comparisons. We are always adding new
venues and implementing systems to
keep current with the market. We will be
reaching out to many facilities and holding informational seminars as well. If you
would like us to speak in your area,
please contact your agent to set one up
near you. I also want to let you know
that Antoinette & I will be out of the
office April 28th—May 6th. Please
contact Sandy at the office with any
matters in our absence. Finally, I want to
mention that our middle son Tim has
been drafted to the Conshohocken
Steelers which is part of the IGL (Indoor
Gridiron Football League). They will
have a few games at the Wells Fargo
Center among other places. We are very
excited to watch him play, it should be
fun! We’ll keep you posted if he’s
spotted and drafted by the NFL!

From Charlie Brady
Hello everyone, I would like to thank all
of my clients that have showed how
much they trust me by referring me to
their friends and family. I want you to
know that I take my job very seriously
and I will always work as hard for your
referrals as I do for you. I think it’s also
important for you all to know that myself
and the support staff behind the scenes
at Young's Insurance Services are all
dedicated to you and the services we
provide. We strive to improve our clients
coverage, save them money and if possible, we will do both! Good Health and
Happy Spring to you all!

Have You Ever Heard of a Daily
Money Manager?
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by that
stack of unopened mail, or concerned
that you are not properly reconciling
your checkbook? It is a common and
frequent concern for many seniors when
you factor in memory issues, arthritis,
failing eyesight and hearing.
If you or a relative is having trouble
paying bills or managing life's paperwork, hiring a daily money manager or a
bill paying service might help maintain
independence and protect assets.
A daily money manager is a low cost
way to help. They don't have to have
access to your personal checking account either. They can simply organize
the bills, prepare the checks for payment, and have you sign them or they
can work through an escrow account
with dual access. If you feel a Money
Manager may be able to help you, call
the American Association of Daily
Money Managers at 877-326-5991 or
call Young's Insurance Services, Inc.
for more information.
