who attended or taught at a one-room schoolhouse.
SPECIAL SCHOOLHOUSE WALKWAY BRICK ORDER FORM
The limited number of available bricks will be
8” x 8”, twice the normal size, and may only be
purchased for those who were either a student or
teacher at a one-room schoolhouse. The special
bricks will have the person’s name, student or
teacher, the year attended along with the city and
state.

Farmstead Hours
The Farm Trail is the first major fundraiser of
the Farmstead expansion project. Personalized
bricks, available for $50 each, are perfect for all
donors: individuals, groups, school classrooms,
corporations and others. Its permanence is
appropriate for donations either in memory or
honor of someone.

The new expansion will consist of an authentic
farmstead with all of its related buildings that
would have been found in the early 1900’s in
eastern Kansas.
Education and interactive
activities will be emphasized at the new area.
This program will give you the satisfaction of
owning a part of the new Farmstead and also help
us preserve and educate more people about early
farm life and our rich Kansas heritage.

In March 1998, the Council for the City of
Overland Park, Kansas approved a master plan
that will more than triple the size of the Deanna
Rose Children’s Farmstead. The Farmstead has
been a major attraction for the community with
attendance of 350,000 visitors annually.
