that our-playground youngsters
won first place, honors at the

pics heid at R I T. August 4th.
A team of 40 youngsters, 9-14
years of age, represented the 18
playgrounds within the Town of
G reece and scored a total of 82
points^ a recordhigh for Monroe
County junior Olympic com­
petition. The youngsters
qualified for the event
the
Greece Junior Olympics held on
July 2ist a t Arcadia High
School.
Our- youngsters did well
enough to win a gold, silver or
bronze medal in 22 of the 30
events which consisted of
dashes, relay races, ^ and 4 ^
yard runs, softball throws, and
a running long jump.
• The following children won
medals in their age groups:
GIRLS 9 and 10 SOFTBALL
THROW - Kathy Servas, 1st
Place; 200 YARD RELAY Colleen Burruto and 3rd Place
