consultations from 9.00 a.m. until 3.00 p.m.
Some consultations will take place before or after school on the previous week from
Monday 6th to Thursday 9th February.
Appointment details will be sent home today with your child
ADDITIONAL SCHOOL CLOSURE
Please note that the school will be used as a polling station for the Assembly
Elections on Thursday 2 March. Consequently there will be no classes on this
day. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
P7 T RANSFER R ESULTS
On Saturday our P7 pupils will be receiving the results of their transfer tests. We wish
them all the very best. This is a stressful time both for parents and pupils. We continue to
stress to the children that our pride in their efforts and achievements are assured
regardless of how they have done on a particular test on a particular day.
Parents of P7 pupils: On Saturday, if your post is delayed, you experience any difficulties
or you are unsure about what the results mean please feel free to contact me at
[email protected]. Please attach a telephone number and I will endeavour to get
back to you as quickly as possible, by either phone or email.
P7 L EAVERS P HOTOGRAPH
Please remember that the photographer will be in school this Friday to take
the leavers’ photographs for children in our P7 classes. Children in these
classes should come to school in their school uniform, for a class photograph.
They will have the opportunity to change as appropriate for the more informal
shots.

Travelling Book Machine Event
Monday 30 January - Friday 3 February 2017
Dear Parents
The Winter term Book Machine event will take place in school on the above dates. There
will be a good selection of books for children at affordable prices. A catalogue is being sent
home with your child. If you wish to order please make cheques payable to “Stranmillis
Primary School”, or send the correct amount of cash. Children may post their orders into
the Book Machine box in the school foyer.
In addition to providing you with an opportunity to purchase a wide variety of books for your
children, the school also benefits tremendously from this event. The money raised will go
towards supplementing our class libraries. Your support will be greatly appreciated!
Thanking you in anticipation of your continued co-operation.
