Lesson 3 Craft Instructions
Teaching points of Lesson 3: The first phrase in John 3:16, “God so loved the world”.
God so loved people but people sinned against God.
Aim of the craft: To make a snake to represent the serpent in the Garden of Eden.
Craft materials needed for each member:
One leg of a woman’s pantyhose (seriously!), preferably black, brown or green
Newspaper
Short piece of red ribbon Googly eyes (optional)
Rubber band
Googly eyes
Red ribbon
You can buy
inexpensive tights/
pantyhose at the supermarket.
Newspaper
Other materials:
Stapler
Double-sided sticky tape (to attach google eyes)
Preparation beforehand:
1) Cut the red ribbon so it resembles a tongue (picture, right)

Instructions for members: 1) Scrunch up pieces of newspaper into balls. 2) Stuff the stocking with the newspaper balls until the entire stocking is filled.
3) Use a rubber band to close up the opening of the stocking.
4) At the other end of the stocking, staple the red ribbon so it looks like a tongue.
