XII CIRCUIT OPEN “COMUNIDAD DE MADRID”
COMPETITION RULES
Competition will be held according to F.M.N. (Madrid Swimming Federation)
R.F.E.N. (Spanish Swimming Federation) and F.I.N.A. Rules and Regulations.
COMPETITION INCLUDED IN THE 2016-2017 L.E.N. CALENDAR
» SWIMMING POOL:
Indoor, Name: M-86 Swimming Center, (25-50 meters, 10 lanes), electronic timer.
Adress: C/ Jose Martínez de Velasco, nº 3 (28007 Madrid).
» DATES AND SCHEDULES:
Winter Trophy (25 meters)
-1st Session, Saturday 12/03/16. Preliminary heats (9:30) Finals heats (17:00).
-2nd Session, Sunday 12/04/16. Preliminary heats (9:30) Finals heats (17:00).
Registration limit: November 21, 2016.
Validity time from October 1, 2015 to 07-11-2016
Summer Trophy (50 meters)
-1st Session, Saturday 17/06/17. Preliminary heats (9:30) Finals heats (17:00).
-2nd Session, Sunday 18/06/17. Preliminary heats (9:30) Finals heats (17:00).
Registration limit: June 5, 2017.
Validity time from February 1, 2016 to 06-05-2017

» CATEGORIES:
MEN: Born in 2002 and before
WOMEN: Born in 2003 and before
» START SYSTEM:
ONLY ONE VALID START.
» ENTRIES:
Swimmers or teams not affiliated to Madrid Swimming Federation will have a
participation fee of 7 euro per individual entry and 12 euro per relay entry.
Required times for selected events are (50 m pool, electronic time):
200 Butterfly:

» PARTICIPATION:
Each swimmer can be registered in FOUR events maximum, in each Meeting
(four events per weekend).
» ORGANIZATION OF THE COMPETITION:
o When all entries are received, the number of series will be arranged, according
to events and gender, as follows:
 6 heats for the 50/100 meter events
 4 heats for the 200 backstroke-breastroke-freestyle and medley meter
events.
 3 heats for the 400 meter freestyle
 2 heats for the 400 meter Individual Medley, the 200 meter butterfly, the
women 800 meter and the men 1500 meter Freestyle events.
 1 heat for the men 800 meter and the women 1500 meter Freestyle events.
o The final session (evening) will be composed of a “A Final” comprising 1st to 10th
qualifying times and a “B Final” comprising 11th to 20th qualifying times. In case
of any withdrawal from “A Final”, swimmers from “B Final” will be allowed to
complete the “A Final”.
o Changes, substitutions, or participation out of contest will not be admitted.
ABSENCES- If a team does not present a withdrawal and the swimmer “no show” at
the event, a fine will be issued to the team. The quantity of the fine is set in the fine
table. In addition, the swimmer who “no show” is not allowed to participate in more
events in that session, except in competitions whit heats and finals, where the
swimmer is not allowed to participate either in that session or final session.
o Every day will be have two sessions (morning heats – evening finals) both in 10
lane pool.
o EXCEPTIONS:
 Faster heats (10 faster entry times) of the 200 meter butterfly, 400 meter
individual medley, women 800 meter Freestyle and men 1500 meter
freestyle events will be held in Finals session. In this events, participation
of swimmers not affiliated to Madrid Swimming Federation will be
limited to a maximum number of three.
 Men 800 meter freestyle and women 1500 meter freestyle events will be
held in the heats (morning) session.
o RESERVES
5 reserves positions for the 800 and 1500 m events are established in case of
any withdrawal, according to the entry list order. In order to take part in the
final heat, the official subscript will be filled – until 60 minutes after the
beginning of the preliminary session.

At the end of the morning session, preliminary results will be published.
Swimmers classified between 21th and 25th will be allowed to swim the B
Final, in case of any withdrawal, filling the official subscript – until 30
minutes after the end of the preliminary session. If a draw situation occurs
between reserves, they will draw lots to decide the finalist position.
In the event held only the Final A, swimmers classified in positions 11th and
15th are those which can request inclusion as alternates.
» PENALTIES:
5 euro Penalty for each withdrawal.
35 euro Penalty for each undeclared withdrawal.
60 euro Penalty for inappropriate contest.
» AWARDS AND TROPHIES:
Awards of sports equipment brand Disseny the top two in the Absolute Final
A of each test (40 € and 20 € respectively), which will be exchanged at the
store located in the same facility. The maximum period for redeeming the
prize will be three calendar months from the date of the conclusion of the
competition.
° The maximum period to exchange the award shall be three months from the
date of conclusion of the meeting.
» RESULTS:
Will be arranged by event and gender.
It will publish the results of the heats and the final series composition after
completion all series of each test.
COMPETITION COMMITTEE: According to rules and regulations of this season.
SUITS and others:
The rules to be applied in all competitions organized by the Federation and by clubs
affiliated to it, from the day May 27, 2013, is as follows:
• The swimmer can only wear a bathing suit to compete.
• All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials.
• The swimwear for men shall not extend above the navel nor exceed one knee
toward the feet, and for women, shall not cover the neck, shall not extend above the
shoulders, not exceed one knee toward feet and may not include zippers, clasps, or
other opening and closing system similar in any part.
• Do not allow the use of therapeutic adhesive strips to compete.

• closed back woman Swimsuit (code FINA approval AR220994)
• Swimming Trunks Jammer (code FINA approval AR141364)

SLIP PRODUCT USE:
You may not use any product applicable to the feet as:



Paraffin
Liquid Glue
or the like to prevent slippage of the plates.
This type of product is abrasive to the material and the only possible way to remove
it is very harmful solvent for the maintenance of the plates.
