Common St. New Braunfels, TX 78130 830.221.4322 [email protected] Westside Community Center Offers Free Beginning Spanish Classes for Adults New Braunfels, TX - Have you wanted to learn conversational Spanish and basic Spanish survival phrases? Are your kids in a dual language program and you would like to learn Spanish, too? Maybe you plan to travel, or would like to practice Spanish with a co-worker or neighbor? The Westside Community Center will be offering free Spanish classes for adults beginning June 7th. The Center is located at 2932 S. IH-35 in New Braunfels. Mabel Brown, an adult Spanish and Second Language instructor in the community, will be teaching two sessions from June 7th to July 7th. The schedule allows adults 18 and over to either attend a Tuesday evening session from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. or a Thursday morning session from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30.a.m. Classes will be held in the upstairs classroom across from the Center’s Library. “The Westside Community Center is excited about the upcoming Spanish classes and the flexibility in the class offerings,” said Outreach Coordinator, Jennifer Hernandez. “This is the perfect class to jump start your Spanish in a classroom environment. Ms. Brown is a great fit as an instructor - she’s engaging and enthusiastic about teaching adults a new language.” Ms. Hernandez also noted her thanks to the Friends of the Public Library and the City of New Braunfels for their support in offering the free classes to the general public.
