Registration:
1. Read and sign the liability waiver, Page #7
2. Complete participant entry form, Page #4. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
3. Check the events you wish to participate in. These are located on pages #5 and #6.
4. Checks made payable to Waccamaw Sports Classic.
5. Mailed in applications must include: pages; 4-7. Mailing address provided below;

7. Deadline for early bird registration is March 10th, 2017. Those who register after March
10th, 2017 will not be guaranteed a Waccamaw Sports Classic T-Shirt. Fees are explained
on page #3.
8. Opening ceremony will be held on Friday April 21st, 2017 at the Williams Brice
Gymnasium on Coastal Carolina University Campus. Address is TBD….
9. Events will be held on the Coastal Carolina University athletic fields, courts, courses, and
complexes.
10. Event parking contact Justin Blomdahl, a shuttle will take you to and from the facilities.
Early Bird Registration is March 10th, 2017. In order to be guaranteed a T-Shirt all
applications must be received by this date.
The Waccamaw Sports Classic is a sanctioned event by the South Carolina Senior Games.

2017 WSC General Information
Open to:
Men and women ages 50 years or older. Registration fees however are different
for residents of; Georgetown, Williamsburg, and Horry Counties (also referred to
as Tri-County Resident). Proof of age might be required upon arrival to the
games. These games do not serve as a qualifier for the state games beginning on
May 18th, 2017. Paper applications will be provided to any and all participants
interested in competing at the state games.
Events:
All events will be listed within the registration form. What is provided by the
WSC Committee will be declared below. However if something is not provided
the participant will be responsible for providing such equipment. Age group will
be determined based on your age as of December 31st, 2017. Men and women
will compete in separate events unless the event is a designated coed event. Age
groups will be; 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79,etc.
Rules:
All events will be conducted in accordance with the South Carolina Senior Sports
Classic Games. If you have a question regarding an event please contact an event
manager. He or she will be happy to assist and provide any rules for such event.
Rain:
Event officials reserve the right to cancel or postpone events in case of
inclement weather. Information regarding cancellations or postponements can
be viewed on the website/Facebook page, or participants can contact event
coordinator Justin Blomdahl. Event coordinator can be reached at (843) 3857491 at any time leading up to or during the event.
Awards:
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
Finishers. Two awards presentations will take place; first one on Friday 4/21/17,
and the second on Saturday 4/22/17. Friday April 21st awards ceremony will be
for events on Friday April 21st, 2017 or before. Saturday 4/22/17 awards
ceremony will be for events occurring on Saturday 4/22/17.
Fees:
Tri-County Resident = Horry, Georgetown, & Williamsburg Counties
$6.00 – Early bird registration before 3/10/17
$10.00 – Late Registration 3/11/17-4/1/17
$69 – Golf Tournament Deadline to register January 13th, 2017 by 5pm.
Registration: If you register for the Golf event you are also allowed to participate in the other
events happening at Coastal Carolina University. The early registration of $6
gives you access to events happening April 20th – April 22nd. There is no
additional fees, but if you have questions contact Justin Blomdahl.
Our Opening Ceremonies will be held on Friday April 21st at 9:15am. The ceremony will be
located at the Williams Brice Gymnasium located on the beautiful Coastal Carolina University.

RELEASE, WAIVER, AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
NOTICE: Please read this carefully and sign below to indicate you have read and fully understand this
notice and its contents and agree to its terms.
AS A PARTICIPANT IN THIS PROGRAM YOU AGREE:
I have chosen to participate in the Waccamaw Sports Classic event sponsored by Coastal Carolina
University, Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments, Georgetown County Parks & Recreation,
Georgetown County Bureau of Aging Services, Williamsburg County Parks & Recreation, Williamsburg
Vital of Aging. I understand that this program has risks of injury and damage to person and property
ranging from slight to severe, as with such physical games and sports. I undertake that risk of my own
free will, and understand that I alone am responsible for my safety while I am either preparing to play,
or engaging in play, or am otherwise on or near the premises where the program takes place.
By signing this waiver, I am indicating that I understand these facts, and that I am participating in this
activity at my own risk. I further represent that I have undertaken to prepare myself for this program,
and I have not received any medical or other professional advice to abstain because of my health or
physical condition. I know of no reason why I should not participate in this program.
If I am injured in any way during the conduct of this program I authorize the Waccamaw Sports Classic
and/or its sponsoring agencies to seek whatever medical attention may appear to be necessary, and I
will be financially responsible for such care. I further authorize the Waccamaw Sports Classic and/or its
sponsoring agencies to conduct drug testing on me before allowing me to participate in this program,
and I further agree to participate in any random drug testing program the Waccamaw Sports Classic
and/or its sponsoring agencies operate during the program or at its end.
I authorize the Waccamaw Sports Classic and/or its sponsoring agencies to photograph me and
reproduce such likeness for the purposes of promoting this program without compensation to me.
I further agree that I release and hold harmless the Waccamaw Sports Classic, sponsoring agencies, its
agents, employees, officials, and representatives from any and all injuries and losses that I may sustain
as a result of my voluntary participation in this event.
