On Monday, November 11, 2013 Creekside Elementary held a Veteran’s Day service during
Coyote Connection. There was the Color Guard and they walked down the middle of the
students to the front of the stage. Then the choir sang the National Anthem and a song
called We Are Proud of Our Veterans. Ms. Anderson showed a video of the history of the
wars fought by Americans. Teachers and students introduced family members and
friends who have served in the military. Mr. Roe introduced his mom and Ms. Kane
introduced her dad both of whom served in Vietnam. Ms. Berry’s brother and
Christopher‘s dad served in Iraq. Other guests were honored such as: Kayla’s step-dad,
Sadie brought her grandpa, Aula also brought her grandpa who served in the Navy,
another student also brought her grandpa and one student honored a neighbor. After
that, all the kids introduced their family members that have served in any kind of
military branch including those that were in the Korean, Vietnam and Gulf wars. The
family members explained what war they fought in and the branch in which they served.
The National Guard marched back to the back. Then Coyote Connection was done. What
a good day that was.

Is there a snack thief among us?
By Noah Wilk
I am writing about something that has been going on for some time. It has happened to
lots of people including me. Snacks are being taken from kid's lockers here at Creekside
Elementary. Is it just one person or many? I don't Know. I have Interviewed a few people and
here are the results:
Graphic By: Anthony Brown
•
Some people said they think the person might be in 3rd grade.
•
Some people said they are in 4th or 5th grade.
•
Someone also said that last year there was a snack thief.
Here are some ideas to help you avoid your snack from getting stolen:
1. Keep old snack boxes and hide your snack behind them.
2. Don't brag about your snack like this, "my snack is awesome."
3 Keep your snack in your classroom if your teacher lets you.
Thank you for reading my article.
Infinity Blades Review
By Nick
Hey my name is Nick and I am going to tell you
about Infinity Blades. This is a guide. I will be in monthly.
When you start cut you will have an infinity blade first you
will have to kill a Ninja, this will teach you how to block.
The second guy is going to be a two bladed robot who will
teach you how to dodge. The third guy will teach you how
to parry. The forth guy is going to give you a gem, then you
will put it on the sword, it will be a 400 or 100 attack gem
then you have to kill Saydhi. The good king will come when
you put the infinity blade in the thing but it will kill you.
Cheats and easter eggs
Cheats: if you want 1,000,000 money get an old
ring that is mastered and go to the armor, make it go really
fast and sell the ring you will see anything in the
background then click sell and you will get the money. I
recommend that you should put it on the big gem wheel
you will get 700,000.
Easter Eggs: There are two easter eggs 1. Defeat
Ryth. 2. Vault of tears but first I’m starting with the
vault of tears you have to get the Vile map you have to
get the full set of armor the sword is in the trunk guy,
the armor is in the tree with the big bird, the shield is in
the tomb with the goblin guy. (You need the infinity
blade to get the shield,) the helmet is by the second
‘boss’ but you need the crown map. Ok you have the set
then go where you can get stuff and click on the man
you are going in you will get the holy band.
Christopher’s Monthly Video Game Report
Hi, its Christopher Turba back again with another
videogame review. Today I will be reviewing Mario & Luigi
Dream Team. It is the sequel to mario & Luigi Bowser's
inside Story. Don't worry I will not always be doing Mario
games :-)
Mario & Luigi Dream Team is a story game and kid of
like Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story. THe Main
Characters of the game are: Mario, Luigi, Starlow ( the
same one from the last report,) Peach, Prince Dreambert
( a pi'llo, which looks like a pillow with legs and a face,
Mario and Luigi save,) Antasma, Bowser and Toadsworth (
a toad, like the little people from a lot of Mario games,
which follows Peach around.) The main objective of the
game is to save the pi'llo folk and pi'llo island. To save
pi'llo island you have to break through the barrier of Neo
Bowser Castle then go in and defeat Bowser and Antasma
and save Peach. The bad guys are Antasma and Bowser. I
bet you're asking how they are the bad guys. well they are
the bad guys because they imprisoned the pi'llo fold they
took Peach. I like the game because it felt like I was
having an adventure. Next time I will be reviewing LEGO
Marvel Superheroes.
Cheats:
1. Here are the prizes for saving pi'llo folk:
Bare Hammer = 6 Pi'llos
POW Gloves = 12 Pi'llos
DOB Ring = 18 Pi'llos
Golden Wear = 26 Pi'llos
Zee Egg ( Final Bros attack) = 52 Pi'llos

Morgan's Fall Snapple Facts
by Morgan Haak

My game winning hit started one day at Kennedy. My
team was playing softball against Oregon. I was playing
in an all-star tournament.
We Played for about 45 minutes. There were two
outs. I was on deck there was someone at second base.
Eden was up to bat, Maya was on second. Eden hit the
ball to the edge of the sand. Maya ran to third, Eden ran
to first.
I was up. There were still two out. I hit the bright
yellow softball past the grass I ran to first Maya ran
home.
I just made the game winning hit!

The First Grader’s School Store
By Jada Davis and Kristyn Kubitz
Most of the first graders at our school are super lucky.
Because a volunteer called "Grandma Kay" decided to
help some of the first grade teachers and parents out.
She came up with the idea of the school store for 1st
graders in Mrs. Bandli and Mrs. Wilkinson's class. She
came up with the idea because she thinks it is a good
way to teach kids manners and that good behavior gets
rewards and that bad behavior gets them consequences
and I would have to say that I would agree with her.
The kids get to choose from many stuffed animals,
pencils , erasers and much more fun stuff. They have it
every month on the last Friday of the month in the 1st
and 2nd grade computer lab. Sometimes they have
seasonal prizes like this month they had trick or
treating bags (they were so cool they make me want to
be a first grader again.) If you think they can just get
the option for the school store, well you are wrong. It
is a privilege that you can earn in a very cool and fun
way. Every month they will get a Behavior Calendar and
every day if they behave well they will get a green stamp
if they have poor behavior but then turn it around they
will get a yellow stamp but if they just aren't having the
best day, they will get a red stamp. This was fun for me
because we got to use the stamps ourselves and I thought
that was pretty fun. I bet you are wondering where they
get these toys. Well, they get them from the parents
who have kids that don't play with their toys so they
donate them to the school store so other kids can get the
chance to play with them. This first grade school store is
a pretty cool think. My sister, Jenna, and I were both in
Mrs. Bandli's class for the first grade so we got to do the
school store and we both still have some things from the
school store and she is in 7th grade and I am in 5th
grade. She has a little stuffed animal that is a cute little
lamb and I have a cute little stuffed animal puppy.
