43 B.C. Caesar State University, Rome Rome gets empty after Caesars dies,. At least for a little while.. Volume 1, Issue 1 A Special Opinion on page 4 ! Must read!!!!. Pindarus tells all !!!!. Octavious amd Antony take Egypt? Is Cleopatra a conspirator? Did Caesar have a Did Caesar deserve to get assassinated while going to get crowned? Caesar was killed by seven conspirators. The conspirators that killed Caesar were Cassius, Casca, Cinna, Decius Brutus, Ligarius, Metellus Cimber, and Trebonius. The conspirators planned for Caesar’s assassination to happen before he got crowned and figured out ways to get him out of his house. The assassination of Caesar was on the ides of March while Caesar was on his way to the capital. Caesar got stabbed by all of the conspirators. The first conspirator to stab Caesar was Casca and the last of the conspirator that stabbed him was Brutus. Caesar says “Et tu Brute?” when he sees that Brutus is part of the conspirators and is going to kill him. Caesar is surprised and he is also hurt and feels betrayed to see Brutus be a part of the conspirators. Caesar died in front of Pompey’s statue secret affair with Portia? Continue on page 2 Octavious and Antony take Egypt after successfully wining the battle in Philippi. According the old servant of Brutus ,Antony is no longer friends with Octavious and Antony hooked up with Cleopatra. Antony responded with “Caesar told me I should do so... I went ahead and did so”. They are expecting child soon. Octavious servant who remains unknown tells Royalty Roman News that Cleopatra set up Caesar. Since Cleopatra and her son by Caesar did not get accepted by Rome nor Caesar she figured no one could have him. As one of Caesars mistresses Cleopatra knew she was not as important to Caesar. Taking Caesar from Calpurnia was apart of Cleopatra’s plan so Calpurnia can feel the pain that Cleopatra once did. Cleopatra is soon to be on The Real Housewives of Rome in the fall of 43 B.C. along with Calpurnia and the rest of the Royalty wives of Rome. Caption describing picture or graphic. According to Trebonius Brutus said “ That dirt snake back stabbeth me with my wife . How dare ye just do that and think that he will suffer no consequence. Trebonius get all of the Legislators together so we can arrange for Caesars death”. Portia knew this was going to end badly for Caesar even though she enjoyed their time together. Trebonius says Brutus was so mad at Portia he neglected her into her death. The assassination was unfair and unjustified. Caesar did not deserve to die the way he did. The conspirators said that they killed Caesar because he was ambitious but they had no specific evidence of Caesar being ambitious. Brutus says that he killed Caesar for the good of Rome. The people of Rome liked Caesar and wanted him to have power. The people liked Caesar because he did entertainment for them and he tried to solve the government’s problems. Antony also says that “Caesar was not ambitious and did not deserve to be killed.” Caesar became interested in politics after serving in the Roman Army. Caesar wanted to have a high position in Politics. He became in charge of the public entertainment in Rome. Caesar wanted to give the people the best entertainment he could. Caesar barrowed a lot of money to provide the people with good entertainment. He had games and festivals for the people and because Caesar did all that for the people they really liked him and he started to become more popular. Was putting on entertainment for the people a reason to assassinate Caesar? The people of Rome wanted Caesar to have a strong position of power. The people wanted Caesar to have power because they wanted him to solve the problems that the Republic had. The people would listen to Caesars ideas and what he had to say. The people were angry that the government did not solve the problems that Rome was having. Caesar promised the people to solve the problems. The people supported Caesar and wanted him to become powerful. Was wanting to help the government ambitious? Was this a reason to kill Caesar? Mark Antony gives a speech at Caesars funeral which sums up that Caesar was faithful to Antony as a friend Mark Anthony says “I thrice presented him a kingly crown, which he did thrice refuse. Was this ambition?” He also says that Caesar brought captives home and that when the poor cried Caesar wept. Mark Antony tells the people the things that Caesar has done that do not show ambition. Are any of these reasons to kill Caesar? Caesar should not have been assassinated for helping Rome and wanting Rome to be better. He should not have been killed for helping the people and bringing happiness to them with the entertainment he provided. Caesars assassination was unethical and unjustifiable. As former citizens of Rome We think Caius Julius Caesar deserved to die. This Caesar person was nothing but a fake image of a “GOD” he was nothing but an imbecile. For heaven’s sake that fatuous thing was warned numerous times. WE were the first to even attempt to take Caesar’s light from him. Caesar always wanted power and he did not care how he got it. How dare everyone of Rome rejoice when the beloved Pompey was killed? Caesar did not even kill Pompey so who did? Lucius Septimius was the one who did Caesars dirty work. That old hag had nothing better to do after he “killed” Pompey. Caesar was not the one to be trusted in the first place. The people of Rome were chanting about how great Caesar was not even knowing his characteristics. For instance the Feast of Lupercal was held to celebrate importance of roman god of fertility and Caesar took that day and made it ALL ABOUT HIM! The coward never lifted his finger to be celebrated. Caesar then has pet boy Antony present him with a crown that he wants to take but acts like he can do without it. Caesar was aging by the hour, he was so old is ear drum turned to dust and his body was very weak. Caesar was so hard headed, arrogant, superstitious and vain. He did everything that he could to be “young” and ‘ambitious” We were so happy once Brutus was on board to kill Caesar, Cassius played his part excellent. Once the convincing Cassius gave Brutus those fake letCaesar denying the crown ters, told him the stories about Caesar being weak and informing Brutus “he was better than Caesar and everyone thought so.” Brutus was too nice to that at the Feast of Lupercal fool, only because he was too honorable. Thee great Brutus only felt bad for Caesar because Caesar portrayed this generous visual of himself. We as a group did what we did because Caesar was too AMBITIOUS. We as a group could not take the chance of Caesar being crowned and him having the power to get rid of us. He was going to get the title and turn his back on all of us. So that was called for drastic measures. Our favorite part was when Brutus stabbed him and Caesar said “Et Tu Brute” like the emotional wimp he was. The only part where Brutus messed up when they let that rat Mark Antony live. Antony was nothing but a follower, if Caesar said jump Antony did just that. We never cared for Antony because Antony thought he too was better than everyone else. When Antony’s master was assassinated Mark ”Scary Cat” Antony was nowhere to be found. Rome is even better a year later with Caesar gone, he lost his democratic society that he earned for and it became a beautiful monarchy. So in our opinion Caesar was suppose to die just like we planned him too. His nephew should watch out too or else he will be next….. Signed the Original Liberators Flavius & Pindarus: What is your current occupation? I do not currently work. After being a slave for so long, I think it’s time for a well needed break. Even though I was under fine conditions I would still like to be a free man. So you were a slave or still are a slave? I no longer am a slave, my master released me after a favor that he required me to do for him. Who was your master at the time of Caesar’s death? At the time of Caesar’s death, my master was Cassius. He was a loving man who treated me well and kept his promises. I couldn’t have asked for a better master. What happened to your master? He died in the Philippi war, oh how I wish the event did not have to happen. Caesar took well deserved revenge on Cassius. Did you know the fate of Caesar? I did know about the fate of Caesar. I was there when it was plotted I did not take part in the event but I knew of it whereabouts and why. Do you believe he deserved that? No man deserves to die, because of someone else’s jealousy. It just isn’t right. Sure Caesar was a very arrogant person, he could’ve changed but he had no chance. Is life better for you without Caesar? Life is a little better. We are no longer the leadership of a ruler but in more of a democracy. Octavius is a fine leader and is leading us on a good path. Would you be okay with Caesar still in charge? I would mind. If Caesar was in charge still I would still be a slave. I like being my own man, if the course of events that happened did not happen then I would have still been doing things for my owner.
