Introduction FLIR A310 PT offers the possibility to integrate Event Notification in Milestone software. This feature is available for Milestone Corporate XProtect 6.0a and Milestone Enterprise XProtect 8.1a and 8.5b. Other Milestone builds are not certified to use this feature with FLIR cameras and a correct behavior is not guaranteed. This guide explains step by step how to receive the radiometry alarm notification from a FLIR A310PT in Milestone Corporate XProtect 6.0a. 2. Items Required The following firmware combination is needed in order to complete the procedure described in this document. Note IP addresses shall be configured according to each network configuration: FLIR A310 PT camera o Nexus Server version 2.5.16.0 o Firmware version: WW1.4.2 + Millestone Messaging Patch o Known static IP: 10.22.1.230 Computer running Milestone Corporate XProtect built 6.0a: o Milestone XProtect Management Client - Known static IP: 10.22.1.156 (set IP according to network configuration) o Milestone XProtect Smart Client 6.0a - Known static IP: 10.22.1.156 Nexus VMS Drivers Page 4 of 12 EN4009/2014v0.0 Genetec Driver Setup 3. FLIR Camera Setup This section describes how to configure the FLIR A310PT camera in order to make the alarm event notifications available in Milestone Corporate XProtect Corporate. Refer to FNS App Note PT, D, F‐Series and A310PT Milestone Corporate XProtect 6.0a Setup to learn how to bring A310PT into Milestone software. Once the A310PT has already been added and can be managed from Milestone Software, follow the steps below to make the radiometry alarm event notifications available on this VMS. 1. Type the camera´s IP address on your web browser address bar to access the camera’s Web Configuration Interface. 2. Go to Maintenance Sensor Modules Alarm Manager. 3. Configure the Alarm Manager Modules according to the configuration below. When multiple measurement items are configured there should be a rule per item (spot/box). If the user does not want to make a difference between the alarms of the different items, only one rule is necessary. Note all the settings have to be configured as the screenshot below shows. The user can adjust items 1 to 3 according to their requirements. Nexus VMS Drivers Page 5 of 12 EN4009/2014v0.0 Genetec Driver Setup # Description 1 If the user wants to differentiate among the different radiometry alarms from the different measurement items. Set as many rules as items indicating which item the alarm is coming from. 2 Corresponds to the measurement item Alarm ID. When an alarm is triggered on a given ID the rule will apply. Refer to section 3.1 to learn how find the Measurement ID. 3 This subject will be taken into account in the Milestone software to receive the event notification. If you have several Rules corresponding to each Measurement item, choose this subject to represent where the alarm is coming from. Example: A310PTBox1. Milestone XProtect Corporate Setup This section will describe the process to link a Generic Event in Milestone software to the triggered radiometry alarm of a FLIR A310 PT – Series. In order to follow the process below the camera has to be already added to Milestone software, if this is not the case refer to FNS App Note PT, D, F‐Series and A310PT Milestone Corporate XProtect 6.0a to complete this task. Once the camera is added to Milestone, follow the steps below: 1. Open the Milestone XProtect Management Client. 2. Access the Tools Menu Options and click on the Generic Events Tab. 3. Add the camera’s IP address to the allowed IP address box. Nexus VMS Drivers Page 9 of 12 EN4009/2014v0.0 Genetec Driver Setup 4. Click OK to make the changes effective and close the menu.
