Transport
Dear Parents
On Sunday we enjoyed our time in the Splash pad
area, sitting in the water and playing with the
watering cans. During our circle time we
introduced the letter I and looked at different
items beginning with the letter. We read the My
“I” book, we also talked about the different types
of transport that we see on the roads on our way
to school, lots of yellow school buses were spotted
by us all. We also talked about road works and
watched some clips of machines at work. We also
read Emergency and discussed the different types
of emergency transport such as, fire engines and
police
cars, ambulances and rescue helicopters. On
Monday we did some art work, making a boat
picture using the triangle shape for our sails
and a straw for the mast. We had soft play and
some of us made a train track with the wooden
tracks. We also enjoyed some play time outside
in the Skills area. On Tuesday we had a very
busy day, we played in the mini gym then went
to the Montessori room to see Ms Chandanie
and to explore the different activities. We had
singing with Miss Maysel practicing our Summer
concert songs . All the children who our
graduating had their photos taken in their
Ladybird t shirts and graduating gowns.

you that we are not
allowed any nuts in
the school so please
be aware when
packing your child’s
snack box. Also
please could you cut
grapes in half before
putting them into
your child’s snack
box.

On Wednesday
On Wednesday we visited the
Montessori room with Miss Chandanie
and did some number recognition,
matching the numbers 0-9, and then
counting beads to match each number.
The children took it in turns to sit
with Miss Chandanie and have a go and
they really enjoyed it.
We practiced for our Graduating ceremony.
On Wednesday we did some more art work ,
we made some traffic lights, sticking
coloured circles onto a rectangle shape. We
then discussed how they work and why we
need to have them. We enjoyed some
Montessori time in the classroom, choosing
an activity we would like to complete.
Some of the children modelled the play dough
into cars. We also enjoyed Music and
Movement with Miss Amanda.
Next week our topic will be Empathy
