Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required parts listed. 2. Connect Left Upper Post (A) and Left Bottom Post (C) to the Left Middle Post (B) by inserting 2 Wood Dowels (3) at each joint. Make sure the cutouts for Shelf on 3 Posts are parallel to each other. Attach two Metal Brackets (4) at the joins to combine three posts together by using the M6 x 16 mm Bolts (2) into the countersunk holes of Metal Bracket. Tighten the bolts with the M4 Allen Key provided. See detail #1. 3. Repeat last step to combine the Right Posts (D, E & F) together. Required hardware in this step Description: (2) – M6 x 16 mm Bolt (3) – Wood Dowel (4) – Metal Bracket (16 pcs) (8 pcs) (4 pcs) Sketch Qty. Locate Left Post Assembly on a level and protective surface with the threaded inserts facing up. 5. Align and attach Top Shelf (G) to the top cutout on Left Upper Post using two M6 x 28 mm Bolts (1) through the countersunk holes of Top Shelf into the left post. Make sure the back rail of Top Shelf points toward back of the unit. See detail #2. 6. Repeat last step to attach the other Lower Shelves (H, I, J & K) in place as shown detail #2. 7. Align and attach the Right Post Assembly at the other side of Shelves. Required hardware in this step Description: (1) – M6 x 28 mm Bolt Sketch Qty. Stand the unit upright and move to your desired location against wall. 9. Identify which material your wall is constructed of. Follow the steps below to secure the unit onto the wall. For Wooden Stud Drywall 10. Position assembled bookcase against the wall where you intend to place. Using the back rail of Second Shelf (H) as a template, mark 2 mounting hole locations on the wall. Lift the bookcase away and drill two 3/8” holes at the marked locations. Press Drywall Anchors (7) into the holes and lightly tap until the flange on the anchor against the wall surface. Attach the Second Shelf (H) over the anchors in the wall with two M6 x 50mm Self-tapping Screws (5) and securely tighten with the Allen Key provided. See detail #3. NOTE: If the mounting holes coincide with Wooden Studs, use the M6 x 50mm Self-tapping Screws only in these holes. Use a quality Stud Finder to locate the studs where you intend to place the bookcase. Finding the center is critical to proper anchor your bookcase to the wall. Using a 3/16” drill bit, pre-drill the mounting holes at least 1 1/2" deep at the locations. Securely attach the Second Shelf (H) over the pilot holes on Wooden Studs using two M6 x 50mm Self-tapping Screws (5). See detail #3A. For Solid Concrete Wall 11. Position assembled bookcase against the wall where you intend to place. Using the back rail of Second Shelf (H) as a template, mark 2 mounting hole locations on the wall. Using a 17/64” masonry drill bit, drill the mounting holes at least 1 1/2" deep at the marked locations. Insert Concrete Anchors (6) into the holes and lightly tap them flush with the concrete surface with rubber mallet or hammer, even if there is a layer of drywall or other material in front of the concrete. Attach the Second Shelf (H) over the anchors in the wall with two M6 x 50mm Self-tapping Screws (5) and securely tighten with the M4 Allen Key. See detail #3. Young children can be killed when furniture tips over. Place heavy items on lower shelves. You must use anchors to secure furniture to wall. Make sure that all objects are removed before moving the assembled unit. The unit must be team lifted, not dragged or pushed. Should you choose to use polish, test in an inconspicuous area first. Using solvents of any kind on your furniture may damage your furniture’s finish. Never use water to clean your furniture as it may cause damage to the finish. Always use coasters under beverage glasses and flowerpots. Liquid spills should be removed immediately. Using a soft clean cloth, blot the spill gently. Avoid rubbing. Always use protective pads under hot dishes and plates. Heat can cause chemical changes that may create spotting within the furniture finish. Stains or marks from crayons or ink markers will be difficult to remove. In the event that your furniture is stained or otherwise damaged during use, we recommend that you call a professional to repair your furniture. Check bolts/screws periodically and tighten them if necessary. Further advice about wood furniture care It is best to keep your furniture in a climate-controlled environment. Extreme temperature and humidity changes can cause fading, warping, shrinking and splitting of wood. It is advised to keep furniture away from direct sunlight as sun may damage the finish.
