Class News
Nursery— October is the month of Mary so the children in Nursery have been making
a collage of Mary
Reception– Kayde—We have been learning about the letter ‘g’ and singing the song
‘gurgling down the drain’ and we have also learned about guardian angels
Year 1— Zofia—We have been investigating 2 digit numbers like 30, 40, 50
Year 2— Aleksandra—We have been learning to take away, 50 — 25 = 25
Year 3— Larissa—We have been using pastels to create pictures of rainforest
creatures. I drew some butterflies!
Year 4— Georgina—We have been learning about deserts and the people who live in
them. We learnt that nomads wonder around from place to place
Year 5— Zeiko—We are learning about planets. Jupiter is the biggest planet, Venus
is the hottest planet and Mercury is the smallest planet!
Year 6— Christy—In science we have been learning about the eye and all the
different parts of the eye. (Christy was then able to correctly name all the
different parts of the eye for me)

upcoming Year 6 performance of Romeo and Juliet at The Contact Theatre on
Monday 31st October 2016—the price for tickets is £10 per adult, £6 per concession.
Year 6 children are bringing home order forms this evening!
The last few places are still available in our reception class for this current academic year.
If you know of anybody who is unhappy with the school they have been allocated and

May we please remind you that sweets, crisps and fizzy drinks are
NOT ALLOWED in school, even in lunchboxes. As part of the
Manchester Healthy Schools Programme it is our duty to promote
healthy eating and lifestyles.
