Poppy Campaign & Bake Sale for Poppy Funds
Once again, we are honoured to be supporting our 2 Legions with their annual Poppy
Campaign. The poppy campaign is an important source of revenue for our Legions and
veterans. They really look forward to having young people come and help with this
important campaign every year.
We will be helping Brooklin Legion (152 Branch) on Saturday October 29 and Whitby
Legion (112 Branch) on Saturday November 5th.
In addition to cadets going out with poppy boxes, we will be having BAKE SALES every
Friday until November 11, 2016 and selling the 'Lest we Forget' bracelets on parade nights.
How can we help?
Saturday October 29: We need PARENT DRIVERS to bring cadets to/from their locations.
Brooklin Legion (56 Baldwin St).
Shift Times: 9-1 pm and 12-4pm
Lunch will be provided.
Fridays October 28, November 4 and November 11: Bake Sale in support of Poppy Funds.
We are asking for baked goods so that we can sell them at canteen time (8pm). If you wish to
donate any baked items, please bring them at the start of each parade night. Thank you to the
families who already donated last Friday!
Saturday November 5: Branch 112 members will drive most cadets to their locations. We may
need some drivers. If you can help drive on October 29 or November 5, please let the SSC know.

Donations to our canteen are also welcome! They help keep our
costs low.
We appreciate your support and would like to thank you in advance
for all you do for the cadets.
Power Familiarization
Any cadet wishing to participate in the
Power Familiarization program, can
come see us to pay the $ 15 charge.
We are taking names and payment on
Friday nights. Cadets will be
contacted when we are able to
confirm dates for flying.
Air Cadet League OPC Lottery Books
In Support of the Air Cadet Program
The OPC Lottery books are available for pick up every parade night. Each book consists of 12 tickets at $ 5 each
for a total of $ 60. Every cadet is expected to sell at least 1 OPC lottery book. We encourage cadets to sell more
if they can.
The revenues from the books fund important cadet programs such as gliding.
In order to pick up a book, you must bring a post dated cheque of $ 60.
The cheque can be post dated to: December 9, 2016

Special Squadron Raffle
Hot off the Presses! Only 500 tickets will be sold at $ 20 each.
A special squadron raffle is now available.
We have a limited number of tickets and only 1 month to sell them!
Draw: Friday November 25, 2016 at 8pm (Draw will take place at Donald A. Wilson)
Prizes: - 2 Economy class Air Canada tickets to anywhere in North America, Mexico, Hawaii and the
Caribbean. Prize includes a $ 500 Air Canada gift card and is valued at $ 4700.00
-Samsung 40" TV LED 1080p Smart HDTV Black (donated by MTC)
-$ 200 Brock Street Brewing company gift card & -$100 Aviation themed gift basket
All prizes on this raffle have been donated and ALL PROCEEDS will remain in the squadron. The
funds will be used to pay for aviation related items, leadership training, band, extra-curricular
activity needs and other cadet related items. We have a license to sell these and we encourage
everyone to help sell all 500 tickets we have!
