Programs for Children Read to Maggie, our Reading Dog Tuesday, January 3 from 5:00-6:30 Children in grades Kindergarten and up, can practice reading aloud with Maggie. She loves listening to stories! Rhythm & Rhyme: Mondays, January 9-February 6 @ 10:30 (No class January 16) Songs, fingerplays, stories, and movement for children ages birth-36 month, and a caregiver. Drop in Winter Story Time: Wednesdays, January 11-February 15 @ 10:30 Stories, flannelboards, and crafts for children ages 3-6. The Mitten Story Time: Saturday, January 14 @ 11:00 (Snow date: January 28 @ 11:00) Children of all ages will enjoy Jan Brett's version of the Ukrainian folktale The Mitten, followed by a craft. Cherie Dalton will also share her experience of recreating the story for the walls of the Gallery. Chess Club Tuesday, Jan17 from 4:00-4:45 Join our new chess club for children in grades 3-6! Free Preview Class-Everything Calm Baby Thursday, January 19 @ 12:30 Michele Wenis invites babies, 8 weeks old- precrawlers, and caregivers to a free preview of her upcoming class. The class includes gentle stretches and movements for baby, and mild to moderate strengthening postnatal exercises to benefit parents. This course will help to get you started on typing letters, resumes and other documents. for the beginner or those who need a refresher course. Wednesday, January 25th, 2017 9:15 AM Introduction to Library Resources This course will introduce library patrons to our various research databases, and prime users on access and how to utilize them. The Sage Hook Hand crocheted goods from Woodbury Tonja Bambino's grandmother taught her that creation was equally about art and workmanship. She crochets useful and cozy things that put a smile on your face. Even though she uses a lot of new and cozy yarns, she strives to use re/upcycled materials in her designs. Look for The Sage Hook on Etsy and at local craft fairs. Sonja is also available for custom orders and private lessons.
