Town Page Boards and Committees - Volunteers Required Job Opportunity After each municipal election, Orangeville Town Council appoints citizens to various Boards and Committees that make decisions or recommendations on a variety of matters. These appointments give Orangeville residents, from various backgrounds, a chance to volunteer their skills to help in the community. Casual Crossing Guard, Building and Bylaw Department The Casual Crossing Guard will assist all people to safely cross the street before school, at meal breaks and after school on an as-needed basis from September to June each school year. The term of the appointment for non-council appointees is four years. This is concurrent with the current term of Council, however, non-council appointees continue until their successors are appointed. Most committees meet monthly. Each committee, at its first meeting, determines the schedule of meetings for the new term. Hourly Range: $15.41 - $17.87 per hour Council wishes to ensure that its Boards and Committees reflect the diverse nature of Orangeville's population and invites all residents to consider this opportunity.
