Boards and Committees - Volunteers Required
Job Opportunity
After each municipal election, Orangeville Town Council appoints citizens to
various Boards and Committees that make decisions or recommendations
on a variety of matters. These appointments give Orangeville residents,
from various backgrounds, a chance to volunteer their skills to help in the
community.
Casual Crossing Guard, Building and Bylaw Department
The Casual Crossing Guard will assist all people to safely cross the street before school, at meal breaks and after
school on an as-needed basis from September to June each school year.
The term of the appointment for non-council appointees is four years.
This is concurrent with the current term of Council, however, non-council
appointees continue until their successors are appointed. Most committees
meet monthly. Each committee, at its first meeting, determines the
schedule of meetings for the new term.
Hourly Range: $15.41 - $17.87 per hour
Council wishes to ensure that its Boards and Committees reflect the diverse
nature of Orangeville's population and invites all residents to consider this
opportunity.
Application forms as well as a brief description of the committees’
mandates are available from Reception, at the Municipal Offices, 87
Broadway; or from the Town’s web site at www.orangeville.ca; or by
calling 519-941-0440 Ext. 2221. Applicants may apply to more than one
committee.
