Useful Questions and Answers Q. When do I get my invitation? A. Letters inviting you to graduation will be sent out at the beginning of October via email or by post. Please keep a look out! Within your invitation you will also receive further event information including how to book your robe and photographs. Q. How do I book my place, and what happens if I can't attend? A. Please let us know if you are attending your Graduation ceremony by replying to your letter or email. If you need to cancel your attendance let us know by emailing – [email protected] Q. How do I hire my gown and how much does it cost? A. To hire a gown please get in touch with the gown hire company, Ede & Ravenscroft by visiting their website. Gowns can be collected on the day of Graduation in advance of the ceremonies – please check the Graduation Guide you were sent with your invite for full details. Q. What is the date and time for the ceremony for my subject? A. For information on the ceremony that applies to your course subject, please visit the When and Where page. Q. How many guests can l invite to my Graduation? A. Once you have replied to your invitation we will post your tickets to you. Due to the popularity of the event we can only guarantee two guest tickets per graduating student. These will be sent out to you once you confirm that you are attending. Q. Can l apply for extra guest tickets? A. It is only possible to guarantee a maximum of 2 guest tickets to each candidate attending. Children and babies attending also require a ticket. Q. When is this year's Graduation? A. There are four Graduation ceremonies. The date, time and location of your ceremony will be highlighted at the top of your invitation. You can also view the list of ceremony dates and times within the graduation here. Q. Where will Graduation be held? A. Graduation ceremonies will be held in Dunfermline Abbey, Dunfermline and St Bryce Kirk in Kirkcaldy. For information on where your ceremony will be held visit the When and Where page within the Graduation section of the college website. Q. What time do l need to arrive? A. Please leave yourself plenty of time prior to your graduation ceremony to allow for parking, collecting your robe and any photography you have booked. We ask that all students register and are seated in advance of the ceremony starting. Please refer to the Graduation Guides for further information. Q. How long will the ceremonies last? A. Each ceremony usually lasts for approximately 1 hour. Q. When do l collect my certificate? A. Certificates can be collected after your Graduation event at the drinks receptions. If you are not attending please let us know if you would like your certificate and we can post it out to you.
