Principal’s Note
Science Fair projects were on display this week and they were great! Grades 3rd
through 5th did individual projects, while Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grades completed class
projects with an option to do an individual project. Our judges had a tough time
picking their top choices to represent us at SARSEF in March. Middle Schoolers are
working with Mr. Abdullah to complete their projects.
Thank you to our Judges for their time and talents: John & Denise Kroubalkian,
Rebecca Kouchit, Jim Lively, Paulina Ramos, and Zeynep Kars. Your assistance is
greatly appreciated!
Our families had a great time at Skate Country this week. Thank you to the Parent
Booster for arranging an opportunity to get together for family fun.
SCI-Fest at Tucson Children’s Museum is happening this Saturday. Our students will
demonstrate their projects for the Tucson community and a special panel of judges.
The event is free and family-friendly from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Parents of Middle School students are invited to Breakfast with the Principals on
Tuesday, February 23, at 8:00. If you haven’t attended one yet this year, now is your
chance to visit with other MS parents and enjoy some bagels and fruit.
If you are looking for something different to do on a Friday night, SSA-Tucson is
hosting a show starring Michael C. DeSchalit, a HYPNOTIST! Whether you believe or
not, it’s guaranteed to be a fun time for the whole family! Tickets are only $5 each in
advance. See the attached flyer for more information or contact Ms. Lockhart by
email.
Last month our 8th graders visited SSA-Tucson and this week they got to tour SSA-DM
to check out options for high school in the Sonoran family.
Camp Invention is coming to SSA-B. We are hosting
the fun, creative 5-day camp this summer. Our
teachers will be leading the classes. Join us for
creative problem solving, STEM challenges, and lots of
fun. Learn more and register at CampInvention.org or
