Purpose of Addendum
During the on-site inspection on 2/1/2013, the facility was observed to have 6 sinks
and 6 toilets available for the children’s use. This allows for a maximum capacity of
90 children. The center’s capacity will be reduced from 94 to 90 children.
The center is also requesting to change the age ranges allowed in each room.

Description of Findings and Conclusions
The center is located inside a free standing building in Tecumseh. The building
consists of a main floor and walkout lower level. The walkout leads directly to the
ground level. The areas currently approved for child care include:

The main level School Age Area is located directly inside the main entrance.
This area measures 694 sq. ft. and accommodates 20 school aged children.
The main level Infant Room measures 400 sq. ft. This accommodates 8
children ages birth to 3 years of age.
The main level Toddler Room measures 590 sq. ft. This accommodates 12
children ages birth to 3 years of age.
The lower level measures 1750 sq. ft. This accommodates up to 50 children
ages 2 ½ and older.
Total Capacity: 90 children.
The children may be spread out the center as long as there are never more
than 90 children present in the center at one time. This lower level area can
easily be divided into more than one group of children. If children ages 2 ½
are present, the maximum group size on the lower level is 16 children.
The facility has access to six sinks and six toilets, which supports the center’s
capacity.
The rooms are furnished with a variety of developmentally appropriate play and
learning equipment. The play equipment supports the license capacity.
An environmental health inspection was completed on 10/18/2012 with an “A” rating.
A fire inspection was completed on 10/18/2010 with an “A” rating.

Recommendation
I recommend a decrease in the center’s capacity from 94 to 90 children. I
recommend the change of age ranges for the rooms utilized by the children.
