Caulfield, CPA has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Jefferson’s Ferry Lifecare Retirement Community, which opened as the first not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) on Long Island in 2001. Mr. Caulfield most recently served as CFO/COO for the organization, a position he has held since 2009, when he joined Jefferson’s Ferry. During his tenure as CFO/COO, Mr. Caulfield had oversight of the many components integral to running a CCRC: Operational, Strategic Planning, Board Relations, Finance, Resident Relations, External Relations, and Fund Raising as well as the formulation and implementation of initiatives, corporate policies and procedures. Widely respected in the industry, Mr. Caulfield serves on the Board of Directors of LeadingAge New York, is a LeadingAge Certified Aging Services Professional (CASP) and an active participant on the CCRC Cabinet of LeadingAge NY. He has served as co-chair for LeadingAge NY’s Regulation 140 committee and in that role has made considerable progress in bringing about changes to investment restrictions.
