El Pueblo Historical Monument defines non-commercial still photography as images taken of posed individuals,
groups, couples, or families by a professional or amateur photographer. Any posed photography beyond casual
snapshots within the Historical Monument is considered a non-commercial photo shoot and requires a permit.
This includes photography for engagements, quinceañeras, anniversaries, weddings, and baptisms. All noncommercial still photo shoots must be scheduled 3 business days in advance pending availability.

Permit Fee and Requirements
1.
The fee for a non-commercial posed photo permit is:
$50.00 per hour
2.
Any photography conducted with this permit must be for non-commercial purposes only.
(Headshot and portfolio photography is NOT permitted with this permit.) 3.
Non-commercial still photography is only allowed at the approved locations. Photography is NOT
permitted on Olvera Street. If Permittee is caught violating this requirement, they will be requested
to leave the Monument and forfeit their reservation time and permit fees.
4. A signed copy of this permit must be carried at all times during the day of photo shoot and must be
shown to Monument security when asked.
5.
This permit is nonrefundable; however, in the event of rain, Permittee may reschedule their photo
shoot to another calendar date at the Monument’s discretion.
6. Parking at El Pueblo is NOT included with this permit.
7. All areas of the Monument being utilized for still photography with this permit shall remain
accessible and open to the public at all times.
8. Pedestrian flow of traffic in and out of the museums and other historic buildings shall not be
obstructed during Monument operational hours.
9.
All equipment and props are subject to approval by El Pueblo Historical Monument.
10.
Permittee is required to come dressed and prepared for the photo session. There are no changing
areas available and public restrooms are NOT to be used to change clothes.
I, the undersigned, do hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Los Angeles, El Pueblo Historical
Monument, and any other officers, agents or employees, from any liability or claim of action for damages
resulting from, or in any away arising out of the use of the facility, as set by the City of Los Angeles. I will adhere
to all requirements aforementioned and will accept all responsibility for any damages on the premises, furniture,
equipment, sculptures, or ground, resulting from the use of the facility. I understand that I must be present
during the indicated time and if I or my photographer is late, it will result in a loss of time and that my
photo permit fee is NOT refundable.
