4th Grade Summer Reading
Each incoming fourth grader will be asked to read 2 books over the summer.
I will be asking that a recommendation card report sheet be filled out for
the mandatory book. The second book will be selected from the provided
list. There will not be a written assignment for the second book. Instead, I
will be asking for you to be ready to present your book as an oral
presentation. You will be asked to speak as the main character of your book
and discuss the events that occurred throughout your book AS the main
character. You may even dress up as your character on your presentation
day.
Recommendation card report sheets need to be passed in on the first day
of school. Presentations will begin the day after Labor Day and continue
throughout the week. I will let you know ahead of time the day you will
present.
