A45 special provision requires that the lithium Ion batteries
a) Pass the United Nations Manual of Tests and Criteria (2003) ST/SG/AC. 10/11/Rev4 Part-III, sub section 38.3
b) For a Li-ion battery, the aggregate lithium-equivalent content is not more than 8g.
IDX declares that all IDX Lithium Ion batteries have passed the United Nations Manual of Tests and Criteria (2003)
ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev4 Part-III, sub section 38.3 and that all IDX Lithium Ion batteries have less than 8g lithium equivalent can be
transported* by aircraft as non-hazardous goods.
● Notes:
1) *ENDURA ELITE should not be transported if both Power Cartridges remain in the Housing (BH-2).
One or both Power Cartridges must be removed prior to air transportation.
2) Lithium Ion batteries offered for air transportation should be packed containing 12 or less in one single package.
3) Lithium Ion batteries should be separated and packed so as to prevent short circuit.
4) The application of IATA regulations and the transport of any battery equipment may vary according to airline or carrier even when the batteries meet the IATA
regulations. IDX recommends that users confirm with any carrier to determine policy.
