new path. This is a great cycle to have a garage sale to remove that which you no longer value. Research
and gather the resources you need for future projects. Aries helps you get moving towards those new goals,
and that can include exercise. (See the overlap below with Venus retrograde in Aries.)
Aug 12-Sept 5, 11°Virgo—28° Leo: Virgo represents purification, simplification and service. You may want to
take a retreat now or reduce external clutter. Leo wants to do what his heart wants to do. Is it time to play
or do behind the scenes preparation for a creative project? (Note that the next page shows a total solar
eclipse over the USA during this Mercury retrograde, adding to the excitement)
Dec 3– Dec. 22, 30° Sagittarius -13° Sagittarius: Higher philosophy, adventure, travel, publishing, coaching,
generosity and optimism are all Sagittarian traits. It may be time to plan your next vacation adventure or
outline the book you want to write. Make certain your outer world actions are in alignment with your philosophy.
Venus Retrograde, March 4-April 15, 13° Aries-26° Pisces:
Venus turns retrograde less often than all the other planets. The goddess is
associated with love, marriage, money, stocks & bonds, sweets, beauty and
harmony. Where Venus wants relationships, Aries wants independence and
individuality. Venus wants to hang out in luxury, and Aries wants to pioneer a
completely new path. This review and renovate cycle is good to improve exercise and upgrade your wardrobe. Look at your relationships and/or lack of
relationships and make a general plan to improve the quality of people in
your life (and release those that have shifting in a different direction.)
Nodes change signs May 2017



The Nodes of the Moon  are mathematical intersection points where the orbit of
the moon around the earth  intersects with the earth’s orbit around the Sun .
They are spiritual destiny points in your natal chart representing karma and dharma, or the talents/challenges you brought into this life and what you must do with
them. They move around the zodiac and your natal chart every 18½ years (and at
their halfway point every 9¼ years), spending about 1½ year in each sign.
They have been in Virgo-Pisces since Nov. 2015 and move into Leo-Aquarius on May 9
-10, 2017 until Nov. 2018. Virgo and Pisces are very humble signs, associated with service and healing. They have helped you look at how you can bring your higher vision into the mundane
world. Because they are mutable signs (means adaptable), it is common when they analyze and fantasize
the vision they want to bring into the world. It’s time to stop analyzing and make firm choices in the next 1½
year. Leo wants you to open your heart, step into leadership, and express your creative side. Aquarius holds
the higher ideal and creates win-win environments to bring those ideals into reality. Apologies to Virgo and
Pisces, but Leo and Aquarius are more fun signs for incoming times. Think about your life the last time they

2017 Eclipses. Eclipses bring up deep motivations based upon what your spiritual self wants
to accomplish. The eclipses are shifting signs this year, out of cleansing Virgo and gentle Pisces
into the sign of stepping into leadership, Leo, and creating win-win environments Aquarius.
Feb. 11, Lunar Eclipse, 23° Leo/Aquarius: This is the first of a series of Leo and Aquarius eclipses, not
seen since 2009. You must open your heart, yet not get sucked into the drama of the world. Step back from
your busyness to determine what your heart wants to do next, not just what your finances or other people
want of you.
Feb. 26, Solar Eclipse, 9° Pisces: The is the last solar eclipse in Pisces until 2024. Mak e time for your
inner spiritual well being, perhaps through either a relaxation time at a watery place, a vision quest, or a
spiritual retreat. What is the higher vision that wants to come in from beyond the veils of this world?
August 7, Lunar Eclipse, 16° Aquarius/Leo: This is the bookend opposite of the Feb. 11 lunar eclipse,
so look to determine if actions and ideas started then are coming to pass now. Or it may be that you are
looking at life from the opposite side of the coin. This is a good time to reach out to new friends, groups
and organizations. Create ways to bring innovation and ideals into your daily world.
Aug. 21, Solar Eclipse, 29° Leo: THIS IS THE BIG ONE!
All of the USA will be talking about this eclipse since it
travels directly over the USA and the Pacific NW. The fire
element is very strong now, and that is not a good thing
during fire season. It also lands exactly on President
Trump’s Ascendant and Mars, so it will be interesting to
watch how he is activated in the months surrounding
this eclipse. This eclipse makes a harmonious trine to
“expect the unexpected” Uranus. New inventions or
earthquakes under the path of the eclipse are high possibilities. Mercury is retrograde too.
On the personal level, there is help in setting you
free to push forward on projects that are near & dear
to your heart.
Aug. 21 Total Solar Eclipse starts in Hawaii, crosses over
USA, exactly over Oregon, ending in Brazil and Portugal.
Action zones are circled.
Because eclipses come from your inner, spiritual depths, it is important that those projects resonate with
what your soul mission wants to do, not just your noisy ego. One “hot zone” for activity is in the USA central
time zone, Pacific NW up to the Alaska panhandle. Others are in India/Kashmiri, New Zealand/Fiji, Germany/France, NW Africa, Brazil, Japan, Eastern Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Iraq.

Jupiter is a good planet to track through your chart because he spends about one year in each
sign and likes to do big things. Libra is the sign of relationships, so now is the time to realign relationships, deciding which ones stay and which ones go. It is time to open to new relationships
of all kinds.
When Jupiter moves into Scorpio in October, the energetic tone will change dramatically. In
previous Jupiter in Scorpio times, Bill Clinton signs the Brady Handgun Violence Protection Act, Syria
had major internal attacks, the General Motors Parts Plant declared bankruptcy, and Led Zepplin’s Jimmy
Page released the album Death Wish. Something will be released in Scorpio so you can focus your energies.

 Saturn trine Uranus

Trines are normally considered to be soft and helpful.
2017 is the beginning of the end of important shifts
between these two planets. That is the case here;
however, Saturn and Uranus are very different energies.
Saturn is associated with boundaries, restrictions,
tradition, and sacrificing in the short term for the long
term good. Uranus is a revolutionary who wants change
now. Uranus is associated with the internet, technology,
inventions, and friendships. A 120° trine relationship
between the two is helpful. Create a way in your life to
move forward to new ways of operating, and that
includes bringing in new people or organizations to
work with. At the same time, keep those aspects of
your life that give you stability and structure, but do
practice healthy boundaries.
Saturn finishing Sagittarius:
Consolidating Saturn is finishing his run through
expansive Sagittarius this year (since fall 2015). On Dec.
19, he moves into his favorite sign, Capricorn, for 3
years. Cautious expansion is a good way to go.
Uranus in the beginning of the end of Aries:
Uranus spends about 7 years in each sign, having been
in impulsive Aries since the Japan earthquake and
Tunisia’s start of the Arab spring, March 2011. This year
is the last full year in Aries. Consider your path since
2011 and begin to decide what you are ready to release.
Hopefully, Taurus starting in 2018 will begin to settle the
world down to a more productive level.
For astrologers: this cycle started in 1988 when Saturn and
Uranus were conjunct at Galactic Center, 27-29° Sagittarius.
This “closing” trine represents moving into the final “third” of
the cycle that ends in 2032 at 29° Gemini. 1988 was a huge
year for the internet with the first widely known computer
virus, the beginning of the World Wide Web at CERN in
Switzerland, the first link between USA and Europe, and the
beginning of internet chat protocol. This was also the Oliver
North trial for the Iran-Contra affair and the first time the
Surgeon General publicly associated cigarettes with addiction.

 Jupiter through the Zodiac
Jupiter’s sign and house placement in your natal chart provides hints as to how and where you can express optimism, enthusiasm, generosity, and your highest philosophical truth. Jupiter also transits the houses of your chart, passing through approximately one house each
year. Although Jupiter is normally considered beneficial, it can have some challenging side effects. For example, when Jupiter enters the
seventh house of love, marriage and business partners, you are motivated to expand your partnerships (get married, start a business partnership, etc.). However, a relationship that is not willing or able to expand to the next level may end (divorce, termination of the business,
etc.) . It is important to look at the entire chart before making statements as to the potential effects of a natal or transiting planet.
Jupiter rules honesty, good fortune, foreign affairs, ministers, trial lawyers, containers for money, voyages, higher education, the color
purple, racing stables, publishing, places of worship, and missionaries. In the body, it rules largeness of size, the thighs, the liver, and
diseases caused by excess. Jupiter helps you to expand your way of thinking to help you see the larger picture.
