setting that will help you understand the play
Stage directions – description of setting so that

like for each act and or/scene
Direct characterization – an author directly states
character traits or attributes
Indirect characterization – developing a character
through the character’s speech, thoughts, actions,
physical description, or reactions of other
characters
Dynamic character – a character who transforms
or changes
Static character – a character who stays the same
