18 Oct 2004 Police Community Carnival 2004 souvenirs and raffle tickets now for sale at BOCHK’s branches The Police Community Carnival 2004 which is jointly organised again by the Hong Kong Police and the Hong Kong Community Chest (“the Chest”), and solely sponsored by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) (“BOCHK”) will be held on 20 and 21 November 2004 (Saturday and Sunday). By joining the Open Day at the Police Training School at Wong Chuk Hang, the general public can enjoy a series of marvelous performances while contributing to the Chest’s social welfare services. As a leading banking group in Hong Kong and an active member of the community, BOCHK participates in a number of charitable activities. BOCHK has donated HK$800,000 to the Chest for organising the event. This enables all the funds raised through the Open Day can benefit the Chest’s 141 member welfare agencies. The Hong Kong Police has specially designed a Carnival Cops Set (“the Set”) of four different police figurines for sale at HK$30 each to help raise more funds for the Chest. The Set, and a HK$10 Police Community Carnival 2004 Raffle Ticket, will be available for sale at all BOCHK’s branches starting from 16 October. The sale period will last for six consecutive weeks. The two-day event will be divided into four sessions. Programmes include action drama by Special Duties Unit and other operational units, Hong Kong Police Band & Guangdong Police Band performances, police dog show, exhibition on police work, games stalls, Chinese martial art performance and celebrity in concert.
