King Richard III Infant School
End of Year Newsletter
December 2012
I would like to express my sincere thanks to all parents, children,
staff and governors who have made my first term here at King
Richards so fantastic. THANK YOU!
I would also like to inform you of a few
changes that are occurring next term:

Mrs Bithell will be going on maternity leave and Mrs McCulloch will
be covering Lavender class

Mrs Cleaver will be returning from maternity leave and working 3
days per week in Iris class along with Mrs Hacking

Mrs Shea will no longer cover the role of Acting Assistant Head
(HUGE thanks to Mrs Shea for all her hard work!)

Miss Rose will be taking up the role of Acting Assistant Head

Mrs Orton, who is Deputy Head at Uplands Infant School, will be
seconded one day a week to us here at King Richards to work with
our emerging leadership team and offer some deputy head support
to myself. We are very pleased to welcome her.
Just a reminder
that we return to
school on Tuesday
8th January 2013.
Wishing you every
blessing for the
new year.
Mrs Barrett

attendance news overleaf
Our final attendance figure for this term is:
This is 1% up on this time last year, which is great, thank
you! Our long-term aim is to get above 95% to bring us
closer in line with the national average. At present we
have 70 pupils with less that 95% attendance, so I would
really appreciate your support in working together to get
more children above this 95% figure next term.
The Governing Body will shortly be reviewing our current
Attendance Policy, including our Holiday Absence Policy,
so I will keep you informed with any updates or changes.
Thank you again for your support and co-operation.
