The main cause of WW2 was not appeasement but the fact that Hitler always had wanted war and this can be seen in the 4 year plan and the Hossbach memorandum. The Hossbach Memorandum was a résumé of a meeting on 5 November 1937 between Adolf Hitler and his military, where his foreign expansionist policies were planned. As soon as he had consolidated his power Hitler immediately started planning a war. Evidence is in the 4 year economic plan in 1936 , which was focused on rebuilding the military and creating war industries. This shows how in 1936 he is already preparing for a future war, before appeasement was even in action. This can be seen also in the Hossbach memorandum in 1937 where the main thing that was discussed was to expand Germany towards the east with small wars. Evidence that show how this is not only relevant, but also the spark of WW2 is the invasion of Poland which was part of the land in the east that Hitler wanted. The Hossbach Memorandum, which was created in 1937, shows how WW2 causes are mainly related to Hitler and how his policies have always been war policies. Thus appeasement was not the most important cause of WW2 whereas it was Hitler's intention to start a war.
