We’re delighted that you’re interested in joining our school community. GWUOHS looks for students who are
motivated, intellectually curious, and seeking a first-rate education.
Our mission at GWUOHS is to create a rigorous and stimulating academic environment, enabling students to follow
their intellectual pursuits while building the foundation for future academic and professional success. GWUOHS aims to
prepare students beyond what they would receive in traditional schools by providing an individualized education attuned
to their own needs and goals, along with outstanding instruction and support from teachers and college counselors.
Please complete this application package and submit via e-mail. The admissions form has been designed to be filled out
and saved to your computer desktop. Then attach the completed admission form to your e-mail addressed to The George

Once you’ve completed and submitted your application, we will schedule a phone interview with you and your parent(s).
Our admissions committee will then review your application and provide a decision within two weeks.

ACADEMIC RECORDS
We require transcripts or other academic records of the student’s academic performance for the most recent
three years of schooling. We will not review applications without academic records.
Please provide a printed copy of the “Request for Academic Records” (see following page) to each institution
the student has attended in the past three years. There is a section at the end of the form that is to be
completed by the applicant’s family before mailing the form to the institution. Please mail the completed
“Request for Academic Records” form to the appropriate institution(s). Please include with your request,

Families of homeschooled children are encouraged to submit a “Plan of Study” document in lieu of transcripts.
The “Plan of Study” should outline the academic subjects covered in each year of homeschooling for the last
three years, including the titles and publishers of any textbooks used, the names of any novels or other books
read, descriptions of major projects and assessments, etc. The “Plan of Study” should be up to two pages in
length for each year of homeschool.
