Make your farm a safer place by using these low cost hazardous waste collection centres for the safe disposal of your farm hazardous wastes. €2/KG By noting the guidance and information here farmers will greatly assist in the efficient and safe operation of the farm hazardous waste collection centres each day. Collection centres will only operate between the hours of 9.30 am to 3.30pm (excl. Mixed waste and unidentifiable wastes will NOT BE ACCEPTED. 5. Farmers should segregate and package their wastes to avoid leaks during transport. Farmers should load their wastes so that they can be off-loaded at the 4 main operational areas at each centre. 6. Farmers will be responsible for all their farm hazardous waste until Enva confirms acceptance of waste. (excl. VAT@ 13.5%) 3.Waste engine and hydraulic oils should not be mixed with any other substances. Waste oil acceptance area 7. Payment by cash, cheque or card required on the day. All wastes will be rounded up to the nearest kilogram and charged accordingly. 9. Sizes will include: WEEE & battery acceptance area 4. A ll needles and syringes to be delivered to the centres in a separate sealed container. Hazardous waste acceptance area Empty containers 8. Farmers will be issued with a receipt of payment and a certificate of transfer of the control of waste on each day. SAVE YOURSELF MONEY! Clean washed (triple rinsed) pesticide and dairy hygiene containers are non-hazardous waste. A half tonne bag filled with clean containers costs ONLY €15 to recycle at your nearest IFFPG farm plastic recycling bring centres. Do The Sums... A 20 litre container weighs approx.1 kg & costs €4/kg for disposal as hazardous waste. You will fit 20 to 25 of these in a half tonne bag. That’s expensive, so triple rinse them.
