Longmorn Expands its Luxury Portfolio with Two New Expressions
Single malt brand Longmorn is set to invest in the prestige whisky category by completing its range of
luxury Scotch whiskies, with the launch of two new releases to the portfolio. The latest additions
include an updated Longmorn 16 Year Old, with new liquid and packaging and the launch of a 23 Year
Old expression.
The Longmorn 16 Year Old is being reinterpreted with
an enhanced liquid which is matured in a combination
of ex-sherry, American and traditional oak casks.
Bottled without chill-filtration and crafted using a
higher proportion of rare first-fill American oak casks, it
carries notes of ripe fruity pears, smooth milk chocolate
and has a sweet vanilla aroma. The new 16 Year Old has
also had a packaging refresh that suitably reflects the
superiority of the liquid; the glass bottles have high,
broad shoulders, a long pouring neck and are largely
transparent to showcase the quality of the whisky inside.
Longmorn 23 Year Old is the pinnacle of the new Longmorn range, full of rich and profound flavours.
This rare single malt is rested for more than two decades in hand selected oak casks, chosen to
complement the flavours of the Longmorn spirit. Celebrating the distillery’s unique character, this
luxury offering provides flavour notes of ripe pear and red apples that give way to a long, smooth
finish.
Founded in 1894, the Longmorn Distillery has a rich history of crafting exceptional single malt Scotch
whiskies. Its founder John Duff ensured it would emblemise his pioneering insight into craft distilling
and use the latest technology available. The distillery was established to cater for a growing appetite
for fine whisky and became respected among rival distillers, whisky experts and connoisseurs. Each
bottle of Longmorn single malt reflects this dedication to innovation and has been crafted to offer the
ultimate luxury Scotch whisky experience.
Magin Trewhella, Head of Marketing (Dark Spirits) at Pernod Ricard UK, comments: “We are thrilled
to unveil the latest additions to the Longmorn range to Scotch whisky enthusiasts. Each of the variants
in the collection represents the distillery’s unmistakable characteristics of commitment to quality and
craftsmanship. The innovative Longmorn family has pushed the boundaries of luxury and excellence,
offering a fresh and new journey of discovery for discerning drinkers.
“Longmorn 16 Year Old has long been a firm favourite among Scotch whisky connoisseurs and
Longmorn 23 Year Old offers the ultimate presentation of the high-quality Longmorn spirit. Together,
the two new releases will create stand out and further drive consumer engagement, amplifying
Longmorn’s visibility in the prestige whisky category.”
Longmorn 16 Year Old has an RRP of £94.99 and Longmorn 23 Year Old is available with an RRP of
£450. Each expression is packaged in a lacquered, deep purple, wooden gift box. The new additions
to the Longmorn range are available in the on and off-trade channels through Master of Malt and
