My name is Kevin, I am 42 years of age I have Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus
and I walk with 2 sticks or use my wheelchair.
I have always had a close circle of friends and family and always had a lot of
support from them and I was able to do a lot of things that maybe other
children wouldn’t have the chance to do.
One thing I have always enjoyed doing is raising money for charities like
SASBAH which is the support group for people with my disability. Since I’ve
been going to my local church they have been raising money for the Smiles
Foundation. The Smiles Foundation is a Christian Charity working in Romania
with disadvantaged Children, Families, Minority groups, the Homeless,
Disabled, Abused and the Elderly.
After talking to some friends from my church one of whom owns a veteran
car, I have decided to raise some money for Smiles by pulling a veteran car
along Worthing promenade by the Lido on August 9th at 3pm. We are hoping
to get lots of support and raise a lot of money for this very worthwhile charity.
