The school year 2014-2015 brings some reorganization and exciting new additions to our award winning school.
We have many outstanding programs planned. Temple Israel’s Meitin Religious School is committed to providing
your children with a Jewish educational experience that will be a springboard for living a meaningful Jewish adult
life.
Prior to the start of school there are several programs that you can participate in. First is our Passport to Hebrew
program – Falafel Edition. We will explore Israel through multi-media experiences and conversational Hebrew – a
mini Ulpan experience! Passport to Hebrew will meet Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 4:30 to 7:30
pm (including dinner) on July 30 – August 1. (See separate flyer for more information)
Join us at our second event for s’more fun at our school Open House, Light Up Havdallah on Saturday, August 2,
2014, at 9 pm. There will be an opportunity to meet with school staff and families, see the classrooms and
participate in a unique Light Painting experience. And, of course, enjoy s’mores!
Sunday August 17, 2014 is our first day of school. Registration can be finalized at this time. There will be an
opening assembly and then students will be dismissed to class with their teachers while parents will stay for a Parent
Meeting. It promises to be a great beginning to a wonderful year.

During Registration you may complete paperwork while catching up with friends and enjoying some bagels, juice
and coffee (for the adults!).
At the Parent Meeting you will receive your child’s curriculum overview and a Parent Handbook. It is important
that all parents attend this meeting as we will be forming Holiday/Event committees and selecting Room Parents.
