Welcome to Kloof Country Club,
we have endeavoured to make this application form as
transparent and user friendly as possible. Completing the membership application
can be done by either printing, completing and submitting pages 3,7,8 and 9.
Alternatively you can come in and meet one of staff members and we will assist
you with your application.
The attached table on the following page shows the different subscription
and green fee options available for both annual and monthly membership.
Please note that the annual subscription amounts and monthly membership cost excludes
the affiliation fee to SAGA and HNA which are Mens-R530 & Ladies-R565 per annum for 2016.
These need to be paid to obtain a handicap from the union. Please refer to page 9 if you would like
your existing handicap transferredacross from your previous club.

Notes :
1) All these rates exclude the Annual NGU and Handicap Card.
2) "Out of bundle" means rounds have been used up prior to the end of the month and the member elects to play an additional round/s.
3) Monthly rounds cannot be carried over to the following month.
4) 30 days written notice is required when withdrawing from the Monthly Membership option.
5) On withdrawal your membership will cease and your handicap with SAGA will terminate.
6) Annual Membership has the 6 month or 10 month payment plan option available.
7) The listed membership rates are effective as of the 1st December 2015.

General Club Information
GOLF
Excluding Monday AM, we operate AM & PM fields, 7 days a week, bookings are to be made through the
the Pro Shop on 031 764 1492. The booking of games will be enforced and golfers found on the
course without their name on the time sheet have no standing on the course.
Saturday PM, Men's Competition is restricted to Golf Members only. Members may invite a guest in exceptional
circumstances, but only with the permission of the Captain.
UP FRONT GREEN FEES
As well as "pay as you play", Members may buy an Up Front Green Fee card - see details on Page 2.
All full men and lady golf members, juniors and veterans may apply for either a platinum card or a card with a specific number of rounds
card for display in the Pro Shop when playing golf at Kloof. The annual payment for the card will entitle that member to
play golf free of green fees for that year, for the number of rounds specified by the card type allocated.
Golf Membership Peak Times
Peak times are Saturday all Day, Sunday AM and Tuesday to Friday PM
Off Peak times are Monday PM, Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM, Thursday AM, Friday AM and Sunday PM.
CLUB DRAW

The Club runs a monthly "Club Draw" which is drawn on the last Friday of each month in the Main Bar.
To enter the draw will cost R600 per annum, charged twice a year (R300 each Dec and June).
prizes are paid out together with an attendance prize, which may be carried over if not won at that particular evenings draw.
FUNCTIONS
Wedding and conference facilities are available in our beautifully appointed function rooms.
Members of the club can hire the functions rooms at 50% of what a visitor pays.
BAR
The Main Bar is open to all members over the age of 18.
DRESS REGULATIONS
Please ensure that your dress, and that of your guests is neat and
presentable at all times. Extremes of casual dress are unacceptable and deemed inappropriate at Kloof Country Club.
Management reserves the right to decide whether dress is appropriate.
As far as the sporting sections are concerned, dress codes vary, and it is incumbent on members to
acquaint themselves with the respective dress codes.
MEMBERSHIP CARDS
Members are required to carry their cards at all times while on Club property and
to make them available to staff members on request
Once the Management Committee approves the application, full membership benefits will commence, a list of all new members will be . Posted
on the Notice Board for one month during this period the right of the members to object to such a candidate shall apply; such objection to be
lodged in writing and addressed to the Chairman.
Junior Membership/Intermediate Membership:
(Child of a Member) is accepted and should not have attained their twenty-fifth birthday before an application for membership is submitted.
(Child of a Non-Member) is accepted as long as they have a Proposer and a Seconder who are full members of the Club and should not have
Attained their twenty-fifth birthday before application for membership is submitted. A letter from a parent accepting
responsibility for payment of accounts is to accompany the application.
Please note that non-compliance of any of the above will delay the application being processed.

THE RULES GOVERNING THE APPLICATION FOR AND THE OPERATION OF ALL CARDS ARE AS
FOLLOWS
l)
As specified, once the number of rounds attached to specific rounds cards are complete, extra
rounds may be paid for at the “pay as you play” rate of R 190.00, or a new Up Front Green Fee card
may be purchased. This provision is designed to give each member the incentive to buy the correct
card and not one that represents too few prepaid rounds for the amount of golf that the member
concerned anticipates playing that year.
2)
There will be no carryover to the next year of unutilised rounds of up-front cards. All cards expire
each year at the end of the Club's Financial year (end of November each year).
In order to avoid unnecessary administration, with golfers applying for new cards every year, on the
1st December all golfing members will be debited for the Up Front Green Fee card that they
presently hold.
However, should members wish to change their category of card, please contact the office before 1st
December and they will be accommodated.
3)
Nine holes will be regarded as half a round in debiting cardholders.
4)
All new members will be required to apply on the attached application form for the card type of their
choice.
5)
Visitors and House Members pay visitors green fees should they be given permission to play on a
Saturday.
6)
The purchase of a card will not guarantee a member a round of golf at any time. Time sheets, as
displayed on the notice board, will be in force.
7)
A member playing in a sponsored day will still pay the green fees required by the sponsor.

SQUASH
The Club has 3 courts, one of which is a glass backed match court, and all
courts are open from 8 a.m. to 10.00pm (with the exception of league matches that are
played in season from 6 p.m. to 9.p.m. The maximum time that can be booked is 60 minutes
and charges are for members playing casually R50.00 per hour.
The courts are not open to outside visitors unless invited and playing with a member.
The visitor may only be invited a maximum of 2 times per month.
Members who play squash regularly would benefit from being a “key holder” & squash club member
at the additional cost of:- Keys for the squash court may be purchased from the office for R45.00 and
light tag R60.00.
Members would then be debited with R965 per annum for an individual member to play as
much squash as they wish. This will apply for FULL CLUB MEMBERS AND HOUSE
MEMBERS/SQUASH MEMBERS.
Family Key Holders: This facility is available for families in the Club who are regular squash
players. A key may be purchased for R45.00 and the monthly charge for the family is
R1350.00 per annum.
Please note however only Club Members & guests may use our facilities. The key for the squash
court may not be loaned to family or friends who are not Members of Kloof Country Club.
LIGHT SUBSIDY DRAW. All adults members (excluding minors and University students
contribute R240per annum. Four times a year their names are entered into a draw with 6
different prizes to be won.
