Slope Method
ABCD must be a rectangle because, since
opp. sides have the same slope, the opp.
sides are parallel, making ABCD a
parallelogram and since the slopes of the
consecutive sides are opp. reciprocals of
each other then consecutive sides are
perpendicular, making all the angles right
angles and since all angles of parallelogram
ABCD are congruent, then ABCD must be a
rectangle.
Distance Method
ABCD is a parallelogram because opposite
sides are congruent, and if opposite sides
of a quadrilateral are congruent, then the
quadrilateral is a parallelogram. ABCD is a
rectangle because the diagonals are
congruent, and if the diagonals of a
parallelogram are congruent, then the
