Decimal placement change for United Arab Emirates (AED)

With effect from 1st March 2015 the UAE Dirham (AED) will be shown on traffic documents with 0 decimal places. This is in
accordance with IATA memorandum PTC COMP 1731. (Currently the UAE Dirham shows 2 decimal places)

In order to support the exchange/refund of tickets issued prior to the system decimal change, changes have been made to
the Exchanges (WFR), Refunds (WFR/WFRN), and Automated Exchanges (WFRF) tools.

These changes will be in effect for the March 1, 2015 and this enhancement will allow a ticket issued with AED currency as
either the BASE fare or EQUIVALENT FARE to exchange and refund using our current exchange tools.
The Exchange Ticket Screen 10 mask to be presented with the amount fields in an update mode allowing you to enter
missing data to complete the exchange.
The enhancement will apply to the following exchange commands:
WFR
WFRN
WFRF
WFRS (response display only)
Best Practices update – Churning
Churning refers to repeated cancelling and rebooking of the same itinerary in the same or different class of service across
one or more PNRs or GDS/CRSs. Churning is often done to circumvent ticketing time limits and change the booking class /
flight. Eg: Changing from higher class to lower class or vice versa.
As per the airline this practice in totally unacceptable as it blocks seats from other Service Providers dis-servicing
customers. Your compliance with all booking and ticketing requirements is requested. Failure to do so will result in
cancellation of all existing bookings, with appropriate cost recovery, penal action and/or blocked inventory by the airlines.
"Churning" is not permitted for any reason including, without limitation, to circumvent or extend ticketing time limits, to
hold inventory, or to find a fare, or carry forward special remarks from one itinerary to another.

Issuing duplicate tickets, in a PNR, for a passenger, without voiding previously issued tickets, may result in
airline debit memos and cancellation of the reservation.
Please ensure you do *T to confirm that no other ticket has been issued for the selected passenger or
segments.
If a duplicate ticket has been issued by error on the same day (as the first ticket), you must void the FIRST
(previously) ticket issued.
Note that all tickets can be voided prior to 23:59 local time (11:59 PM) on the same day the ticket was issued.
