Supplement to operation instructions for actuators Special version for counterclockwise closing This sheet is a supplement to the operation instructions of the following type ranges: SA 07.2 – SA 16.2 / SAR 07.2 – SAR 16.2 / SAEx 07.2 – SAEx 16.2 / SAREx 07.2 – SAREx 16.2 SA 25.1 – SA 48.1 / SAR 25.1 – SAR 30.1 / SAEx 25.1 – SAEx 40.1 / SAREx 25.1 – SAREx 30.1 SQ 07.2 – SQ 14.2 / SQR 07.2 – SQR 14.2 / SQEx 07.2 – SQEx 14.2 / SQREx 07.2 – SQREx 14.2 SG 05.1 – SG 12.1 / SGR 05.1 – SGR 12.1 / SGExC 05.1 – SGExC 12.1 SA 07.1 – SA 16.1 / SAR 07.1 – SAR 16.1 / SAExC 07.1 – SAExC 16.1 / SARExC 07.1 – SARExC 16.1 The following points must be observed for the “counterclockwise closing” special version: Manual operation: Turning the handwheel counterclockwise results in a valve movement in direction CLOSE. A marking on the actuator handwheel indicates the inverted direction of rotation for closing. However, this is often ignored during operation. For this reason, we recommend affixing a respective note on site. Terminal plans TPA: Switch designations deviate from the standard terminal plans: • Torque switch DSR (TSC) becomes DSL (TSC CCW) • Torque switch DÖL (TSO) becomes DÖR (TSO CCW) • Limit switch WSR (LSC) becomes WSL (LSC CCW) • Limit switch WÖL (LSO) becomes WÖR (LSO CCW) Figure 1: Setting the limit switching Setting the limit switching: Refer to operation instructions pertaining to the actuator. Set end position OPEN (red section) 1. Engage manual operation. 2. Turn handwheel clockwise until valve is open. 3. Turn handwheel by approximately half a turn (overrun) in the opposite direction. 4. Press down and turn setting spindle [1] with screw driver in direction of the arrow and observe the pointer [2]: While a ratchet click is felt and heard, the pointer [2] moves 90° every time. 5. If the pointer [2] is 90° from mark [3]: Continue turning slowly. 6. If the pointer [2] moves to mark [3]: Stop turning and release setting spindle. Setting the end position CLOSED (black section) 1. Engage manual operation. 2. Turn handwheel counterclockwise until valve is closed. 3. Turn handwheel by approximately half a turn (overrun) in the opposite direction. 4. Press down and turn setting spindle [4] with screw driver in direction of the arrow and observe the pointer [5]: While a ratchet click is felt and heard, the pointer [5] moves 90° every time. 5. If the pointer [5] is 90° from mark [6]: Continue turning slowly. 6. If the pointer [5] moves to mark [6]: Stop turning and release setting spindle. Setting the torque switching: Perform setting as described in the operation instructions pertaining to the actuator, however, with the following difference: • Setting for end position OPEN is performed using the black dial. • Setting for end position CLOSED is performed using the white dial. Figure 3: Torque switching heads Setting for OPEN Setting for CLOSED Setting the potentiometer (option): Perform setting as described in the operation instructions pertaining to the actuator, however, with the following difference: • For actuators of type ranges SA..., SQ...: Turn potentiometer [1] counterclockwise until stop is felt. • For actuators of type range SG...: Turn potentiometer [1] clockwise until stop is felt.
