Ford Australia has developed a Roadside Assistance program where quality service, flexibility and peace of mind are our priorities. With myFord, a team of highly qualified roadside consultants is at your service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Australia-wide. myFord Roadside Assistance offers responsive and supportive telephone personnel and fully accredited service providers equipped with the latest recovery equipment and technical expertise. Choose between two levels of cover - Standard and Prestige to suit your needs. Rest easy in the knowledge that wherever you travel in Australia, myFord is there for you. Please note that the Prestige Roadside Assistance Plan referred to in the myFord Roadside Assistance brochure is no longer available to purchase. Only the Standard Roadside Assistance Plan can be purchased. 01 Standard Roadside Assist Plan A myFord Standard Roadside Assistance plan includes the following services: > Unlimited service calls There is no limit to the number of times myFord will come to assist you at the roadside. > Flat battery Ford will jump-start a flat battery or arrange a battery replacement. > Out of fuel Ford will provide enough petrol or diesel, where available, to enable you to travel to the nearest re-fuelling facility or, alternatively, arrange a tow. Dedicated LPG vehicles will be transported to the nearest licensed LPG re-fuelling facility. > Flat tyre Ford will change a flat tyre (where vehicle has a serviceable spare) or, if necessary, a tow will be arranged at the Driver’s expense. > Lockout Ford will assist where possible in opening your vehicle, locating and delivering your spare keys, or arranging a tow, provided adequate proof of ownership can be shown. > Mechanical breakdown Your Service Consultant will, where possible, provide over the phone diagnosis to enable vehicle mobilisation. Where required a Service Patrol Vehicle will be dispatched in order to mobilise your vehicle at roadside. > Towing In the event that a vehicle cannot be mobilised at the roadside, that vehicle will be towed to the nearest Ford Dealer or authorised Ford Service outlet. 02 > Urgent message relay In the event of a breakdown, urgent messages may be relayed to affected family, friends or business associates by one of our operators. We will also provide the customer with advice on local transport options and alternatives. > Taxi ($25 value) Ford will provide a one way taxi fare (where service available) up to the value of $25 (incl. GST) to enable you to continue your journey if your vehicle cannot be mobilised and must be transported to a service facility. Prestige Roadside Assistance Plan A myFord Prestige Roadside Assistance plan includes all services outlined in the Standard plan, plus: > Taxi ($50 value) Taxi service will be provided as under Standard cover, however the value of the fare is covered up to $50 (incl. GST). > Accommodation Ford will provide accommodation for driver and up to four passengers for 2 nights to a maximum value of $150 per night in the event of vehicle breakdown when the repair time is estimated at more than 24 hours, and the vehicle is more than 100km from home base. 03 Rental Vehicle Ford will provide a rental vehicle for your use in the event of vehicle breakdown when the repair time is estimated at more than 24 hours, and the vehicle is more than 100km from home base. Provision for Rental vehicle will be provided: a) for up to two (2) days if used in conjunction with accommodation; or b) for up to five (5) days to continue your journey. Rental Vehicle Conditions: Car rental arrangements are subject to any conditions imposed by the car rental company and exclude all fuel costs, insurance, tax and/or stamp duty charges or any (rental vehicle) relocation fees. These charges will be at the expense of the driver. Alternative ground transportation Where car rental is not available or where the rental car company refuses to provide a rental car due to your age or driving limitations or restrictions, or for any other reason beyond our control, alternative ground transportation will be provided to your home address or intended destination. This is provided your vehicle cannot be repaired locally or repaired in an acceptable time frame (less than 3 days). Vehicle recovery Ford will deliver your vehicle to its destination or home base (to a cost limit of $400) if vehicle repair time is estimated at more than 24 hours and it is more than 100km from home base and you have decided to continue your journey. Off Road Assistance* (4WD/AWD Configurations) Ford will provide Off-Road Assistance if a vehicle becomes bogged or disabled on a road that is trafficable by normal two wheel drive vehicles and/or towing recovery vehicles, and where no special equipment is required (e.g. power winches and/or extended cables). *See Terms and conditions on page 7. You can call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from anywhere in Australia, so you’ll never be stranded again! The following information is required when you call for assistance: > Your name > Precise location of your vehicle > Registration number of your vehicle > A brief description of the problem > A contact telephone number (where possible) 05 Terms and conditions This brochure outlines the benefits and services available as part of myFord Roadside Assistance. myFord Roadside Assistance is not: • • • • • An Insurance Contract; A Vehicle Extended Warranty Contract; A Vehicle Liability Contract; A Personal Injury Insurance Contract; or Voidable or Refundable. > In cases of mechanical breakdown, myFord Roadside Assistance requires that there be no fault on the part of the owner/driver for the vehicle failure > Where a vehicle registered under myFord Roadside Assistance requires mechanical repairs, costs of these mechanical repairs will be the responsibility of the owner > In the interest of providing a quality service, myFord Roadside Assistance reserves the right to amend or withdraw service where utilisation is excessive due to the lack of regular and/or preventative maintenance or failure to rectify any recurring fault > Service delays may be experienced in remote and sparsely populated locations and in the event of natural disaster (e.g. floods) > myFord Roadside Assistance will accept no responsibility for the security and/or loss associated with the disabled vehicle’s cargo > All prices include GST > Terms, Conditions and Service content are subject to change without notice 06 Off Road Assistance* Recovery costs will be covered by myFord Prestige Roadside Assistance provided: > The driver has attempted to extricate the vehicle and the vehicle is equipped with tool kit including shovel. > The vehicle is NOT bogged due to accident, flood or fire. > The vehicle is NOT bogged due to modification or fitment of non-genuine components to the vehicle. Limit for all recovery is set at $1,000 (maximum one claim per year), any excess to be payable by driver. Please note that the following will not be covered under myFord Roadside Assistance: > Bogged vehicles (excluding 4WD/AWD Configurations covered by myFord Prestige Roadside Assistance) > Vehicles over 7 years old > Unregistered vehicles > Caravans and trailers > Vehicles in a remote location (that is, a road not trafficable by a 2 wheel drive recovery vehicle) > Vehicles over 2.5 tonnes > Vehicles with major body modifications > Unattended vehicles > Taxis > Cost of repairs unless covered by your Ford New Vehicle Warranty > Towing after an accident > Costs associated with rental vehicles unless where stated that Ford Roadside Assistance will pay 07 Auto Club Membership The good news for existing Auto Club Members is that, for a small fee, you can suspend your existing Auto Club Membership for the duration of your myFord Roadside Assistance plan while continuing to credit your years of service as an Auto Club member. You will continue to receive your local Auto Club magazines while maintaining access to financial services (where available), membership maps and publications, touring and/or travel services. At the conclusion of the myFord Roadside Assistance plan you have the option to resume membership of your local Auto Club without incurring the normal joining fee.
