Travel with Covered Wagon Tours via motorcoach to some of the most beautiful
landmarks our country has to offer. Visit Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park,
Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial on this great adventure. Spend two
nights in the cowboy town of Jackson, Wyoming, the crown jewel of the Northern
Rockies. Experience the Wild West as it once was at Yellowstone National Park, home
to an incredible array of wildlife including free-ranging herds of buffalo. Check off
one of life’s must-dos as you thrill upon seeing Old Faithful erupt. Marvel at Grand
Teton National Park’s towering peaks, marked with mountain glaciers. Soak in stunning views of Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorials. As a special ending
to our tour, enjoy the evening in Chicago with a farewell dinner at Riva Crab House
overlooking the Chicago Skyline from Navy Pier. After visiting the John Hancock

TOUR INCLUDES: Roundtrip motorcoach transportation, all hotel accommodations
including baggage handling and taxes, all included meals, admissions and fees as listed on the
tour itinerary, services of a Covered Wagon Tour Director, Motorcoach Driver and local guides.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND AGREEMENT: Cancellations received inside 60 days
of departure will be charged the $250 deposit plus the cost of any non-recoverable charges.
TRIP CANCELLATION/INTERRUPTION INSURANCE: Insurance is not included
in the tour price. Cost for early book before April 28: $194.00 per person double, $242.00
single, $172.00 triple. Cost for booking after April 28: $194.00 per person double, $276.00
single, $172.00 triple. Optional Trip Cancellation Insurance fee is due at time of final payment.

acts as an agent arranging all other tour components and may not be held responsible for loss,

Day 10: Friday, September 8 - Wall Drug - Badlands National
Park
Today, enjoy a stop at Wall Drug, an authentic store from 1936, for time to
shop and browse. Later this morning visit Badlands National Park. Upon
arrival, make a stop at the visitor center to view its informative exhibits
and displays and watch a film that introduces you to the area. The Badlands
loop is a wonder of rock formations and vibrant colors caused by mineral
deposits. Enjoy a boxed lunch as we make our way through the Badlands
and then continue east to Albert Lea, Minnesota.

Day 11: Saturday, September 9 - Chicago, Illinois
As a special ending to our tour, enjoy the evening in Chicago with a farewell

Day 8: Wednesday, September 6 - Deadwood - Rapid City
Depart Cody and continue east crossing the Bighorn Mountains with
a rest stop in Sheridan. Arrive at Devil’s Tower National Monument for
sightseeing of the country’s first National Monument. This afternoon, arrive
in Deadwood for sightseeing of this rough and tumble western town famous
for outlaws, gunslingers and lawmen alike. There will be time to explore the
town and have dinner on your own, before continuing on to Rapid City for
a two night stay.

Day 9: Thursday, September 7 - Mt. Rushmore - Crazy Horse Custer State Park
Today enjoy sightseeing of the Black Hills. Start your day with a beautiful drive
to Mt. Rushmore National Memorial for a morning view of this magnificent
monument.Then make your way to Crazy Horse Monument for sightseeing
of the yet unfinished mountain carving and insight into Lakota culture. On
to Custer State Park and the historic State Game Lodge with free time for
lunch on your own. Then get up close and personal with the residents of
this park as you head out on a Wildlife Jeep Safari to view the buffalo herds
and much more. In the late afternoon, arrive in the small town of Keystone
with free time to explore the many fun shops and have dinner on your own.
After dinner, join the group for a wonderfully patriotic and inspiring event
as you attend the Mt. Rushmore Evening Lighting Ceremony!

Day 1: Wednesday, August 30 - Middlebury, Indiana
Travel to Middlebury, Indiana, and enjoy a family style “Amish Country”
dinner at the beautiful Essenhaus Restaurant.

Day 2: Thursday, August 31 - Omaha, Nebraska
Stretch your legs and enjoy time at the Amana Colonies in Amana, Iowa, for
lunch on own and time to shop. The Amana Colonies were created, built
and settled by radical Pietists, primarily from Germany the area comprises
seven villages. Calling themselves the Ebenezer Society or the Community
of True Inspiration (German: die Gemeinde der wahren Inspiration), they
first settled in New York state near Buffalo in what is now the Town of
West Seneca. However, in order to live out their beliefs in more isolated
surroundings they moved west, to east-central Iowa (near present-day Iowa
City) in 1856. Due to this, the Amanas are sometimes mistaken for Amish.
Today the area is known mainly for its restaurants and craft shops. This
evening enjoy a mouth watering steak dinner at Sullivan’s Steakhouse in
Omaha, Nebraska.

Day 3: Friday, September 1 - Scottsbluff, Nebraska
A morning visit to The Great Platte River Road Archway with lunch on own
and time to shop. You will be transported back to an era when covered
wagons, buffalo, hand-pulled carts and trains first criss-crossed the prairie!
The Archway features film, computer graphics, life-size dioramas, re-enactors,
classic cars and more documenting over 150 years of transportation and
communication across America. Our next stop is at Scotts Bluff National
Monument towering 800 feet above the North Platte River. Rich with
geological and paleontological history as well as human history, there is
much to discover at this stop.

Day 4: Saturday, September 2 - Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Today you travel to Jackson, America’s most famous cowboy town. Take in
its unique atmosphere – a blend of elegance and the old-fashioned west. En
route is a stop in Casper, WY, at The National Historic Trails Interpretive
Center, one of Wyoming’s finest museums. Featuring state-of-the-art
technology, the interpretive center lets you experience what pioneer life
was like for the early emigrants traveling on the Oregon Trail, California
Trail, Mormon Trail, Bozeman Trail, Bridger Trail and Pony Express Trail. The
interpretive center features four outdoor kiosks. Dinner this evening will
be at a local restaurant. Tonight enjoy an optional Jackson Hole Rodeo. The
Rodeo has been a part of Jackson Hole’s cowboy culture since the first
settlers arrived over 100 years ago.

Day 5: Sunday, September 3 - Snake River
Start the day early as you enter to Grand Teton National Park and enjoy
a Scenic Float Trip on the Snake River. With this giant mountain range as
a backdrop, you will see the wildlife, the flora, and the sheer magnitude of
nature. Your river guide will point out wildlife, explain the geology of the
area and tell stories about local history and folklore. It will be a morning to
remember.Then travel to historic Jackson Lake Lodge which is listed on the
National Historic Register and boasts 60 foot windows that perfectly frame
the Tetons. An agreement between the U.S. and Soviet governments signed
here in 1989 led to an end of the cold war. There will be time to enjoy the
view, explore the lodge, do some shopping and have lunch on your own.
After lunch, travel south along the inner road with photo stops at various
scenic view points along the way, including Jenny Lake which offers unique
photo taking opportunities. In the late afternoon, return to Jackson after an
amazing day in the Tetons! The evening is free on your own.

Day 6: Monday, September 4 - Grand Tetons - Yellowstone
This morning make one more pass through Grand Teton National Park
with scenic photo stops along the way as you travel north to Yellowstone
National Park for sightseeing.The world’s first national park is a wonderland
of natural beauty and geologic oddities that has delighted visitors for over
100 years. It is a mysterious land of steaming geysers, fumaroles and bubbling
mud pots. Today you will visit the centerpiece of the park, Old Faithful!
There will be plenty of time to explore the area and witness an eruption of
the world’s most famous geyser. After enjoying Old Faithful, explore more
of the geyser basins including Fountain Paint Pots. Then travel along the
beautiful Madison river as we head toward our accommodations in West
Yellowstone. This evening join the group for dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 7: Tuesday, September 5 - Yellowstone - Cody - Sheridan
Depart West Yellowstone and return to Yellowstone National Park for
another great day of sightseeing. First visit the awe-inspiring “Grand Canyon
of the Yellowstone,” with a chance to see both Upper and Lower falls,
where the mighty Yellowstone River has cut its way through sheer rock to
cascade down hundreds of feet to the foaming torrents below. Next, drive
through scenic Hayden Valley, famous for large herds of buffalo and other
wildlife. Travel the shores of Yellowstone Lake as you travel south with a
stop for lunch on your own along the way. This afternoon, exit the park
and arrive in the historic town of Cody, named after Buffalo “Bill” Cody.
Enjoy touring of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West which is five museums
under one roof, then check into our hotel and freshen up for dinner at a
local restaurant.
