Be the Change guidelines:
!
Social Justice activist Mohandas Ghandi’s quote “Be the change you wish to see” acknowledges the power that
individuals have to make a positive difference in their community. Research in Social Psychology demonstrates
optimal ways to address the negative effects of bias and stereotyping. Considering personal reflections, class
activities and discussions select one issue that you find meaningful. Create a product that illustrates a research
based idea to address this issue. This is an opportunity to play to your strengths and address a topic that you
care about.
!
Product ideas: a powerpoint, video, collage, painting, drawing, model, social media campaign, mobile, portrait,
poem, experiment replication, piece of music, or letter to the editor. Please see me if you have additional ideas.
