Sir William Ramsey- historian and archaeologist.
Luke 3:1,2
Luke’s dating of the beginning of the ministry of Jesus was during the
time of “Lysanius tetrarch of Abilene.” For a long time Luke could not
be taken seriously as a historian because it was common knowledge
that Lysanius was not a tetrarch but the ruler of Chalcis a half century
earlier. The critics fell silent when an inscription was found, dating to
the time of Tiberius (AD 14-37), which named Lysanius as Tetrarch in
Abilene precisely as Luke had written.
Evidence that Demands a Verdict.

Bono of the rock group U2 said, “When people say ‘Good teacher,’
‘Prophet,’ ‘Really nice guy,’ … this is not how Jesus thought of himself,”
Bono said. “So, you’re left with a challenge in that, which is either Jesus
was who He said He was or a complete and utter nut case…and I
believe Jesus was the Son of God.” –(2013 Interview with Focus on the
Family)
