APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION OF HERALDIC REPRESENTATIONS AND
OBJECTIONS THERETO
SECTIONS 7, 7A AND 7B OF THE HERALDRY ACT, 1962 (ACT NO. 18 OF 1962)
The undermentioned bodies and persons have applied in terms of section 7 of the
Heraldry Act, 1962 (Act No. 18 of 1962), for the registration of their heraldic
representations. Anyone wishing to object to the registration of these heraldic
representations on the grounds that such registrations will encroach upon rights to which
he or she is legally entitled should do so within one month of the date of publication of this
notice upon a form obtainable from the State Herald, Private Bag X236, Pretoria, 0001.
1. APPLICANT: The South African Police Service: Armourers (H4/3/3/10/8)
ElloiaLat A smith's hammer and tongs in saltire within an open laurel wreath all Or.
2. APPLICANT: Laird Andrew Kerensky (H4/3/4/993)
A.11,1S: Per chevron Vert and Or, in chief a sackbut placed fesswise of the last and in
base a thistle slipped and leaved proper; the shield is ensigned of a blue-throated
nightingale (Luscinia svecica) proper, perched upon a wreath of Or and Veil.
MOTTO: LESS IS MORE
3. APPLICANT: Greg Baas (H4/3/4/994)
ARMS: Gules, between three serpents erect Argent crowned Or, placed two and one
alternated with as many bezants, a Lyre Or; the whole within a fillet bordure Argent,
within a bordure Azure, charged with a chain in orle Or, there upon eight emeralds
proper.

ARMS: Or a saltire Gules, between in chief an eagle displayed Sable, bearing in its
beak an olive branch of the second, and in base a Maltese cross per pale Gules and
Sable.
CREST: An eagle statant with wings displayed, Sable, taloned Gules, armed Sable, in
its beak an olive branch Gules.
WREATH AND MANTLING: Gules and Or.
MOTTO: IN DEO NECO LETUM
5. APPLICANT: Marcel Christian van Rossum (H4/3/4/559)
ARMS: Or befween three parrots Gules, placed two and one a griffin rampant proper;
on a bordure Sable eight bezants in orle.
CREST: In front of a fleur-de-lis Vert, a fire-horse in full career Sable, collared Or
embellished with emeralds proper, with chain flexed to sinister Or.
WREATH AND MANTLING: Sable and Or.
MOTTO: QUOD IN VITA FACIMUS IN AETERNUM RESONAT
